Game too easy? (Spoil warning)

Post by KaaZe »

Im wondering, cause right now, im in Luskan and im pretty much walking through every encounter. I havnt die in a long time. My cleric is level 14. Just killed Baram, with little effort. I run the game on Core settings (Altough I turn it down when I have to summon certain undead creatures). Also, have gotten some pretty beefy items already. Boots of speed  , Ring of Protection +5  , Still using my crafted Halbred from chapter one (Ravager +1)

Is it because im too high level for where I am in the game? Anyone made it to lusken to give me some feedback?

Anyway, here is my character.

Well i made it to luskan at level 12/13 ranger and i did all the side quests with no mercnaries or familiars, dunno how you made it to 14, but im assuming it would be much easier in luskan at a level that high.

...Meanwhile, Cross was level 14 when he was in the last parts of the game...

Hrm, methinks I shall have to be more thorough next time. =D

Well, I finished all quest I had in my journal before moving on. Had 1 left that I couldnt complete because I got i too late (Collecting the books for the mage in Port Llast). The 3 stones, the WW quest, the creator race etc.. many small ones here there too. I thought I hurried through the game...

Being level 14 by the 3rd Chapter shouldnt be too hard. I was level 9 before entering Helms Hold in Chapter 1.

Mostly Core Rules. But there is a problem with playing on that when you summon certain Undead's. The zombie fx, has this could of poison (?) surrounding it... doesnt affect me, but my henchmen get struck by it and aggro my newly summoned zombie. Isnt really a problem right now, cause:

Summon Vampire + Str buff + Con buff + Stoneskin = One mean summoned dude. :D

I think Cleric's are kinda overpowered... that armor plus you can get Call Lightning/Chain lightning and not to mention the summoned creatures are pretty nasty.

I simply did every possible subquest, and I went through the prelude twice with the same character, which only yields about 3k experience the second time through, doesnt even get you to 4th level. I did every possible subquest, killed everything I could find and talked to everyone. I didnt even do everything since I never go to go into the Snake Cults hideout in the Beggars nest since I didnt get the key from Jemanie. I didnt do the stealing subquest for the lady at the Moonstone Mask. And like I said earlier this was 9th level without ever going to Helms Hold.

yeah i've been doing sort of the same thing although not the prelude twice....I am playing a fighter/sorceror and just made eighth level. I still haven't done the tombs for Oleff but I did the moonstone mask, the druid quest (good loot on that one), haven't done the fight club, and cleared both ways when there is two paths in anywhere. I don't know if I'll make 9th level before I run out of stuff though - might not quite make it. I feel kind of bad because I a running around with cure ingredients on me but I want to finish up quests, yet everyone in the streets is suffering :(
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....

No the game is not too easy

I tried a dual wielding rouge, a sorceror and barbarian.
The rouge and the sorceror had a very hard time at the prison when you get swarmed by 3 or even 5 prisoners at once.
And even the barbarian was close to death because the prison sorcerors fired at him with 24 fire damage 3 time in a row.
He had to drink all 3 cure serious wound potions to stay alive, needless to say that Tomi was dead with the first attack.
So no I dont think the game is too easy

How do you take a screenshot in game?

I just entered Luskan myself and I am a 14 fighter. I am duel wielding battleaxes. I have a +2 in my right and a +1 in my left. My effective AC is 19 Thanks to my magic full plate, ring of protection +2, and Amulet of natural armor +2. My other ring is of elemental resistance, so i absorb the first 15 points of Acid, Fire, Cold, and Lighting. Also my armor absorbs the first 5 points of slashing or thrusting. I have the boots of speed as well. I think I might be a bit overpowered as I am starting to walk through fights like nothing. With the Half Orc barbarian at my side we can take a purple along with a couple of oranges like they are nothing. But the game is still fun, even if I don't have to worry about dying as much! :D

Which patch are you using, if any? As I recall, the 1.18 patch disabled spells for some monsters.
