On level 1 of the troll caves. Not the shallow caves, the Troll caves. There is a body in a corridor. Not in an open room, you'll know when you see it. It is probably the only body in a corridor on that level.

umm... which quest are these caves associated with? I've lost track of how many caves I've been running around in.

This is part of the Archaeolgical quest/Ruins of the Old Ones. There are about 8 levels. Shallow Caves 1, Shallow Caves 2, Troll Caves 1,2,3 and then the Ruins levels 1,2.3.

There are many entrances to these caves. You want Troll caves 1.
