Druid Feat Question

Druid Feat Question

Can Druids equip any armor in this game? They shouldn't be able to according to 3e rules, except in my offline game, I'm using a metal piece of heavy armor (I am using Heavy armor proficiency). IS it only on the main campaign, is it a mistake that will most likely be fixed? Bottom line is, is it worth it for someone playing a druid online to chose Heavy Armor Proficiency, or will it have no payoff whatsoever?
