What's happened to SYM? (spam . . . please!!!!)

Post by HighLordDave »

Where have many of SYM's regulars gone?

I've noticed that over the last couple of weeks, many of the people who frequent SYM have either disappeared or their posting has declined dramatically. What's the deal?

For instance, our friend Vivien hasn't been heard from since 21 June; Ned Flanders has been a shell of his former self and even fable seems to have stopped stirring the pot. Waverly's been gone since 8 May and Gruntboy last showed his (virtual) face here on 20 June.

After doing some investigative research, I have come up with the following theories as to why many of our usual friends are missing or becoming delinquent in their posting:

1) Aliens from Planet Zork are kidnapping GameBanshee members and replacing them with an army of CRPG insurgents.

2) The GameBanshee members in question all rented Glitter and were driven insane by the sheer badness of the movie (Note to Morlock: If I ever see a review of Glitter on your thread, I will hunt you down and put you out of your misery).

3) Weasel's control of all of our computers is slipping, and so he can only post under his own ID.

4) NWN is consuming the free time of all who have purchased it.

5) They got lives.

Please, help me find our missing friends!!

nr 1 seems to be the most likely options here. I suggest an Investigation lead by a furry animal to find out the truth. We must all give him our passwords and car keys so he can investigate properly.

Or maybe they all died in a freak car accident (part of Weasel's Plan for World Domination (r)) :D

Blame it on BS...

...he must have stashed them with his stuff at his hermit's cabin partying all day and all night...

...and I wasn't even invited! :(

When other games have been released, we still haven't seen this level of posting drop-off. I am worried for our friends.

Everyone needs to wrap their head in aluminum foil so the Zorkhans can't take over your mind!

Perhaps there is a mass shortage of information on this Highway? Some of it might be super but i don't know about that ;)

I refuse to do so! I shall stand and not fall to the Zorkhans' invasion! Who's with me?

the annihilation of SPAM... hmmm... methinks you're secretly supporting the Zorkhans. I am reminded of the Guidebook for Evil Tyrants Rule#10: Born a backstabber, die a backstabber :p

*hug* I'm here :) It was nice of you to 'member me! The cause of my going away is nicely summed in two posts...

1) Because of work I've lacked the energy to post as much. *hug*

2) My rabbit Edwin. I have had to nurse my him back to health...he didn't deal well with no longer being a man...but he's doing much better now. (I even have pictures that I'm going to post soon...he's just that cute) :) I didn't know he'd get so sickly about the whole thing, but he is eating and has started doing his normal 'pulling whatever is near the cage into the cage to chew on'. It WAS really sad the night before taking him in to be 'fixed'...I felt sorry for him which was made worse by my SO telling him that he better 'get it on with the guinea pigs while he still can'...

It's good to see you back, Vivien. It looks like Vicsun has one more recruit for his crusade against the Zorkhans. I thought that maybe you were babysitting for McMcBane or something. Hope you'll be around more, I think CM needs some hugs.
