Tanner Quest

I am trying to finish off the tanner Quest But i have talked to everyone in the bridge area. I still can not get it finished any clues to finish this off. I have the hide as well.

So you beat the tanner in his hideout, right? You need to go to the Umar Hills and meet with a merchant who will finish the armour for you.

No every time I go to him he has the guards there and says I will be in big trouble.Do I kill hin or what?

What do you mean by being in big trouble?
Have you found all the evidence? (hide, berrys)
Have you talked to Rejiek?
Have you hunted him down in his house until he disappers?
And you will ahve to kill som other guys?

In order to solve the murder mystery, you need two pieces of evidence. See the spoilers below.

SPOILERS

1) Get the elephant hide from Rampah (the beggar), then have the Merchant identify it. It was found at the scene of the crime, and there's only one person in Athkatla who would have such an item--the Tanner.

2) Talk to Rose Bouquet. When the murderer ran past her, she smelled something distinctive. She'll identify it if you bring her some samples from the Merchant. It will implicate the Tanner.

When you have both pieces of evidence, you can confront the Tanner. He will admit to the crime and then flee. Follow him downstairs, but be careful.

BTW, when you say you have "the hide", if you mean that you have the human skin from the Tanner's house, then you'll have to read the note you found in his house and head for Umar Hills. If you're asking whether it's possible for you to catch the Tanner after you have proven that he is the murderer...well, that's a different quest, and I'd rather not spoil it unless you want me to.

It's not guril berries. Those are used for, uh, something else that a prostitute might be familiar with.

Tanners are in a completely different line of work--they use oak bark.

Once you beat his hideout, go to the Umar Hills and talk to Fael (I believe thats his name). Purchase the History of Zhentarim and then guess his real name is Darcin Cole. If you're evil you can kill Andolon the silver dragon in the Underdark (you can still escape) and take her blood and get the complete armour which is a +5. If your good expose him. Also since you didn't kill Rijek, go to Trademeet, and once you beat everything and leave the Dao Genie's tent a lady will come and ask for help. Do that mission to finally rid the world of Rijek Hidesman.
