Just fought Sendai

Post by GNGSpam »

Woah! The finally battle KICKED ASS. I didnt try to rest the entire way through, and the final battle was probably the most intense and exciting battle ive ever had. The longer it went on, the more desperate I was not to die (and have to fight it over) and yet the more desperate the situation I was in. I actually finally managed to use all those damn healing potions ive been collecting for an eternity! I used all my mass cures and "heals". Sadly I had used up my summoning spells earlier =(( Korgan and greater deathblow blocking off the stair case where all those drow keep spawning was a life saver!
Heh, that gets a grade A

Yes, as battles go, that really is one of the most satisfying in the series. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

The sendai fight rules but the cloud stack / web stack at the entrace takes away any drow concerns

If you dont do that its one of the toughest scraps in the game

This one is, without a doubt, my favourite battle. I just love the little hint of panic in her voice when the guard captain tells her who's coming, and the "throw all the troops at the invaders to give me time to get my superweapon ready" plan was almost worthy of a Bond movie! :)

I agree, especially the bit where you enter and she says that you have whooped her army ect ect and then (cue drumrole and spooky music) It has given me time to prepare a suprise.. and I though, now why couldnt she have just freaked out and given up after all her minions where killed! No fair

Then I noticed statues and got some creepy watchers keep flashbacks, those statues were nicer though

did u have infinite drow spawn from the entrance? for me, each time a statue died 2 drow came in, first easy ones, later with g whirlwind and other stuff.
the way i did it (first time just today) was minsc and korgan both with regeneration (the cleric/druid lvl7spell), imp haste (haste from boots anyway) and thus 9 respectively 7 attacks per round. korgan for the statues, minsc for entrance, helping each other when one finished. for final sendai a deva, cernd as fire elemental and it was a pretty short, and, compared to gromnir, easy battle imo. me (wildmage), immie and vic didnt do much besides standing around, g'ay magic resist...

anyway, i love fights like this, vs Ilasera and others, compared to the easy battles in SoA towards the end. takes long, need to use anything i can find to make it, at least Gromnir and Ilasera were pretty tough, but all great fun imo.

Gromnir and Ilasera were incredibly easy for me. With Sendai, not sure how the Drow were spawning, didnt pay attention (it was my first and only time through, havent gone back yet). The final Sendai wasnt an issue so much as it was running back and forth from statue to statue. Particularly bad is like the last 2 came to life together and unleashed 2 Insect Plagues (forgot the exact name) on my whole party. Man 2 of those stacked will drain you hella quick.

I found that Sendai is somewhat simple if you load up the entrance you came through with some powerful pets (devas +globe of blades and greater elemental summoning) after you do this the battle becomes somewhat simple, just have breach/g. whirlwind ready to go -- for the toughest fights in the game I would say its either Abazigal or the guy in front of his Lair. they forced me to reload a bunch .
