My wizard is level 12, in Neverwinter Wood right now. I haven't found any real good wizard equipment yet. Right now I have the amulet of health (immune to poison, disease, level drain), boots of speed, sash of shimmering, greater gloves of concentration, greater gloves of spellcraft, ring of clear thought +2, ring of insight, cloak of many stars (from guild ch. 1), battlerobe (not lesser).
Is there a lot better wizard equipment for me? Oh, and I use a heavy crossbow +2 (pt. blank shot). Thanks.
Best wizard equipment to shoot for?
Well according to the equipment section of this site there are several nasty staves, including Staff of Power, Staff of the Magi and Staff of Valmaxion, all of which are very nice, but it doesn't say where to find them.

Anything that gives regeneration or damage reduction or spell resistance. If you ignore damage and regenerate quickly then AC isnt as much of a problem and if you can shrug off spells completely then combatting other spellcasters is much easier.

I would recommend anything that gives DR. AC doesn't matter when they need to do over 20 Damage to start hurting you. My level 8 Sorcerer beat the living daylights out of a friends level 11 sorcerer thanks to the Ring of Elemental Resistance he didn't know I had.
