Magic Bags

Post by fable »

Bah. Anybody remember where you can buy magic bags in chapter 1? I've started up a new character, and forgotten.

I think Aribeth might sell them...if not there should be a merchant somewhere close to there.

Not in the Core. I'd thought so, too, but I've checked the armor shop, the magic shop, and Aribeth. Nada.

Guy in Penisula, its the shop beside the girl who gives the info to get prison key. Twenty in a Quiver in the docks has the 100% one I think. Hmm.. forget where the other 100% comes from. Oh yeah the girl in the guild but you have to be a caster I believe to get it.

There's also some more at the tavern in the Blacklake district.

@Biljac: Actually, I'm I fighter in Ch 2, and I have 2 bags of holding. Forgot where I got the second, though. I know I bought it somewhere...

Twenty in the Quiver doesn't, but that merchant in the Penisula was the one I'd forgotten about--thanks, Biljac. He had an 80% reduction bag. I'd also gotten a 100% reduction bag during a quest. (If the magic shop keeper in the Core has a 100% reduction bag, she doesn't show it to non-wizards.)

I think I remember getting one from someone I killed in The Beggar's Nest. I don't remember who but I think it was downstairs in the warehouse.

I think the guy at the big tree at the core sells them.

Perhaps the magic guild shop's bag is only on display to wizards. I haven't run one in the game, yet, and no other profession causes one to display.

I"d forgotten about Helm's keep. Most of us had. I suspect that's because we don't equate Helm's keep with the trades. ;)

The guy who sells you Pass Coins in the Moonstone Mask also has them, I think. Either that or the tavern in the Blacklake district with the Gauntlet - you might have to own the place first. I know I saw an 80% bag in one of those a minute ago...

You're thinking of the Peninsula shop, where you can get an 80% reduction bag.

No, I'm sure there's one in one of those places - I haven't been to Peninsula for ages and I was just looking at an 80% bag...I'll go look now :)

Well, I found an 80% bag at the Board Laid Bare, from the bartender, and another from the merchant in the Trade of Blades.

Couldn't find one in either place. I wonder if we're looking at either an object that's randomly generated in merchant inventory for a given game, or one that's prefigured upon profession?

Hmm...very possible. But yes, the Helm Hold was where I got my second bag of holding. As Fable said, I totally forgot about the place. :)

THe "merchant" outside of the penisula district sells them. Also there is someone else, but can't remember. ANyone that sells a map of the districts also sells the bags.
