OK, so I killed the imp in Wanev's tower and closed the portal by putting its heart in the brazier. I then head down to talk to Wanev and get my reward. As soon as I click the "I have closed the portal" dialogue option, the game freezes. It did this about 4 times. All other dialogue options work fine.
Anyone else have this problem?
And while we're talking about bugs...
Why was Tomi wielding Sharwyn's Shortbow +2?
Why does Aarin Gend refer to my male monk as a "charming woman"?
Have to say that even with all the little bugs and AI and pathfinding inadequacies, it's still a great game. Just wish you could control the henchmen like in BG. Yeah, I know they probably did it because this autonomous stuff is "realistic", but I actually thought BG was more realistic. The characters were part of your party, so sure they were going to obey the main character, even if they muttered. When they finally disagreed, or decided to betray you, then you lost control. I thought it worked really well. Just tired of waiting for Tomi to stop sniping at monsters two corriders across and start sniffing for traps.

"Terrible hamster justice shall be wreaked upon you! GO FOR THE EYES, BOO, GO...!"
I haven't had any problems with the freezing in the Wanev quest, and Ive never tried to set Tomi to ranged weapons but it is rather irritating to be called a charming woman by Aarin. He gives me the creeps when he does that. It doesnt seem to do it all the time though.
It is best to be thought a fool and stay silent, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
