How do I get damage resistance?

Post by gibz0r »

I'm confused...I used to have a level 5 Ranger, and she had damage resistance under her character sheet.

I started over, and now im a lvl2 Rogue/ lvl2 Fighter / lvl1 Ranger, but I don't have damage resistance, and my fortitude is higher than my previous character...

How do I get back my Damage resistance?

Maybe you were wearing any item that gave you the resistance?

And you have yet to find it again for your new character.

doh, Stupid me, you're right Krimmy.

It turns out I didn't have the Archers Belt equipped....now I have Damage Resistance, which is really really useful so far...

I think that item is bugged. Under special characteristics it says Damage Resistance: Piercing Resistance 5

You would think that you only get damage resistance when under fire with arrows, but the truth it that you also get damage resistance vs any weapon. hehe :)

Are you sure that it's not just Damage Resistance from piercing weapons, which includes spears, rapiers, scythes and halberds as well as all the missile weapons?

Yes when it says piercing resistance its only against weapons that do piercing damage. So you could resist damage from a spear or an arrow or a dagger but not a sword or an axe.
