Werewolf Quest - Alhelor question *SPOILER*

Post by skywise »

So i cured the 3 boys and the knight of their lycanthropie, find out Alhelor is the black wolf, head to Neurik, head to the Inn next door, find out Alhelor went home for the day, go to his house, find a locked basement door (need proper key it says).
How do I get to Alhelor?
Searched inside and outside the house, no key :(

I wonder if I'll experience problems with this. After I initially got the quest from Neurik (the priest?), I went to Alhalor's house and found it very suspicious. On a hunch, I went back and attacked Alhalor in the inn, and he instantly turned into the Black Wolf. I defeated him, and got his tooth as reward, but the priest doesn't recognize the situation. My journal says that the knight is now dead, even though I've yet to leave Port Llast.

Anyone heard of this causing a bug?

Just a thought but maybe the game people put that in so that you don't kill Alhalor before you cure everyone else. Maybe they were implying that the knight at least is linked with Blackwolf and if you kill Blackwolf before you cure them than they die... I don't know but if you want to test it out see if you can find the the boys and cure them and than return of the priest. Maybe than the priest will recognise the situation.
Never be to sure of what you know. For remember there was a time when people "knew" the world was flat.

I made a seperate set of saves to test this out. After killing Alhalor in the inn, I went north and then east to the Neverwinter Woods and I was able to find Geth. When I had nearly killed Geth, he relented and I was able to cure him with the Silver Charm that Neurik had provided. I returned to the priest and I was awarded the XP and gold and urged to save the remaining "boys". Once I have found the knight (Kharith?) in the Black Wolf's cave, I'll report back with more info.

BTW, the Black Wolf was an easy battle, as I had the Greater Swordsman's Belt on, and he was never able to even take a single hp off of me (obviously his attacks were of a "slashing" nature). Tomi sat comfortably in the rear nailing him with arrows. Its amazing how much damage he is able to deal out with that thing; Sneak Attacks and Critical Hits raise the damage of his Short Bow to 20+ hps of damage all the time. There isn't much that can stand up to that kind of damage output....
