SK ideas?

Post by Jaesha »

I´ve just used ShadowKeeper to create Drizzt for SoA/ToB, editing his looks, skills and giving him the items to match the real one. This is great!
Anyone else got ideas for "legendary characters", like Drizzt and Elminster?

Cadderly= I believe a cleric from a Salvatore book(Rose of the Prophet or something like that), Fought a bunch of vampires, Girlfriend is that hot thing named Danica. she fought Artemis Entreri to a standstill ( I still don't believe that, nobody takes AE except for Drizzt).

Isn't there a Cadderly in BGI who greets at the gate when you are sent back to Candlekeep after the work for the Fists and tells you a bit about Gorion and stuff? Is this the same Cadderly you mentioned from the novel?

Cadderly is from RA Salvatores Cleric Quintet, he's a priest of Denier.

Ookay... Bun bun sounds great (what is it between you and bunnies, UserUnFriendly??? :p ), but I was hoping for a description on how to make ´em, since I´m not that much into all the books. I´ve only just started the Elminster trilogy...
But thanks anyway! :)

That's correct. The five books are excellent if you like Salvatore.

@evilbruce

Rose of Prophet is a trilogy written by Margeret Weis and Tracy Hickman. The main character is Matthew, a young mage stranded in an oriental world.

You're right Astafas ( of course)

I've read so many books by Salvatore and Weis and Hickman, I get them confused. But I think my other information on Cadderly was correct.?

By the way, why not just name your char Mate, you´ll get some pretty cheap laughs... "We shall see, mate, we shall see." (Illasara) :)

Yeah, a vampire (won't tell his name here) is indeed the main bad guy in the last book and Danica (a monk - one of the few in the Forgotten Realms books since that class was taken away with D&D 2nd Ed.) is Cadderly's girlfriend. A bit unsure about the fight with Artemis Entreri as it was a long time since I read that book.

@Hesperus

It's the very same Cadderly.

What a game! There are so many ties between BGI, BGII, characters, and on. What a story. I have to get my paws on that series, sounds cool. Does Gorion occur in any novels, or was he just made for the game?

Just the game, I'm afraid. But I just found Elaith Craulnabor (sp?) in NWN - he is one of the villains (or rather an anti-hero) in Elaine Cunninghams books and extremely cool.

Could you tell me some of her other books? I read the Dream Spheres and Elaith was cool. Do you know of other ones off the top of your head that he's in?

jae, bun bun is my jungian achetype...go checkout....

sluggy.com

and i picked him cause in john ringo's book, "when the devil dances" bun bun is a sheva...

(hard military science fiction....hard science fiction...hard refers to science fiction which requires a good grounding in physics, biology and mathmatics to really appreciate)

a sheva is a 5000 ton tank, with a 15inch smoothbore cannon using a plasma ignition system (electro pulse ignition, like the hk g-17)that fires a sabot discarding depleted uranium round at orbital speeds...i thought that was a perfectly apt description of a kensai sorc deathbringer hive mother beholder pc....

and no, i dont have a thing about bunnies...ok, ok, maybe a little bit....

ewwww....

but i do watch a lot of anime, and if you have ever seen anime especially with girls in battlesuits, you have to ask yourself, why do all the cute japanese anime chicks who wear battlesuits alwys have these helmets on with suit antenni that look just like bunny ears???

maybe casue in chinese mythology the bunny is always seen as a lecher figure, since they reproduce so fast they must be doing it all the time....

and yes, people, i am aware i have serious problems if my jungian achetype is bun bun...
They call me Darth...

Her Forgotten Realms books are:

About Arilyn Moonblade and Danillo Than:

Elfshadow (1991)
Elfsong (1994)
Silver Shadows (1996)
Thornhold (1998)
The Dream Spheres

About the drow Liriel:

Daughter of the Drow (re-release Feb 2003)
Tangled Webs (re-release Mar 2003)
Windwalker (first release Apr 2003)

Then I haven't read:

Magehound (2000)
The Floodgate (2001)
The Wizardwar (2002)

Finally you have some shortstories in the anthologies. For more info, head over to her own homepage.

On top of my head, Elaith is in Elfsong and in The Dream Spheres.

I have some SK ideas:

Anakin Skywalker!
Dressed in white and carrying a flashy lightsabre- needs IEEP for the red flashing effect-

Vorador, the good Vampire from Legacy of Kain:
Vampire with colours of Edwin, fighter-mage with leveldrain ability

The Hulk
Special enrage ability with strenght modifier to change into a green Troll

Spiderman
With innate webspell and permanent haste, etc.

Anyone 2 add something?
