henchmens levels

I was going around with dealin at the start because i needed a big tank, i am now level 5 and have switched to glimclaw but he is only level 4, will he ever catch up and also say later when i am level 10 i hire a henchman will they begin at level 4 or do they automatically begin 1 level below me or something?

Already answered.

Henchmen will gain levels at a rate that keeps them one level below you. Initially, the henchmen's level may surpass yours. Once you exceed their level by one, they will begin to level up with you.

If you level up and a henchmen isn't currently with you, then the next time you see them and ask them to join, you can ask them to level up and they will. They will also gain level-appropriate equipment (the game actually destroys the level 5 Tomi and creates the level 6 Tomi, for example).

hanchmen lvls

also i found that as u go past level 14 onwards, your henchman cant, he will stay at lvl 14, even though you can tel him to level up, he will do so, but still be level 14
