As you requested COMMrade Fas...

...a pic of me and my (then) new bride (the woman who, you allegedly, "tamed" me) right after the flower shower (instead of the traditional rice shower).

Nice pics Mar. But you wouldn't get away with cutting the rice out of a wedding here in Kentucky. The guests get peeved if you don't feed them well. :D

@Maharlika
Out of curiosity (or stupidity), is your avatar an actual picture of you?

@Ode
Nippy's 17? He looks older.....

@Nippy
I can see why you chose that avatar ;) . By the way, how does underwater hockey work?

...they had a lot of Japanese food to eat their hearts' content, so the "rice" thingy was still present... :D

BTW, I got married here in Bangkok so only immediate family members and very special friends attended the wedding.

@El Zorro: Yup, my avatar is actually me wearing (as Aegis pointed out) a lampshade. :D

I'm not a link master like Beldin but I did post the whole pic in this thread... just have to wade through all of the posts (spam? :rolleyes: ) here. ;)

Great picture :)

Was the flowers a start of a new tradition?

(A lot easier to get flowers out of your hair.)

...I did not expect a flower shower, most especially since they were not just your proverbial rose but orchids! :eek:

Thanks for the compliments, and yes, it was easy to remove those dangling petals.

But I do remember my sneaky brother showering us with something... but they ain't flowers. :eek: :rolleyes:

Cheers Mah. :cool: Those shirts look awesome.
One does have to question what use a condom is to a Catholic, mind you... :rolleyes: :D

@The Z-Check out the anatomy thread at the top of SYM, Nippy's age is listed as 17 IIRC.
Or you can just take my word for it, the Nipster is 17 indeed.

...it was just a simple rice shower then...

...coupled with a few children's plastic inflatable mini balloons... :D

... I told you my brother's sneaky... :rolleyes:

...yeah, those shirts are really cool... literally and figuratively. :cool:

BTW, I'll try to get a better pic of my Indian Goddess... :eek: ;)

I wonder if any stores in Perth have shirts like that...Probably not. I'm going to look though.

...could you just imagine Tammy handing over these kids toy balloons for them to blow the balloons themselves in order to keep them quiet as not to keep on complaining about those Happy Meal(tm) giveaways. :D No, I'm talking about real balloons here. ;)

Good luck if ever you'd get an authentic Barong Tagalog there in Perth.

One Thai tried to make her own version upon seeing my national costume... :rolleyes:

...the material used was not pineapple fiber (I don't know what she used, it couldn't be Thai silk)...

...sorry to say it, but methinks she overdid it and when she wore her dress she ended up like a walking placemat! :D

LMAO!

If you must know I've already planned to buy big meals when ever I'm there. Which will be during those peak hours times, when the front counter is under manned and putting up with my tirades of "Back in my day, we used to get quick and friendly services around here" type speeches. Well provided I know the manager, I'm a teenager so I know people in the fast food industry. ;)

I know the guy who runs the Midland Movieland/Blockbuster/whatever, but that's about it as far as my connections go. :rolleyes: :D

Imagine Tammy saying this:

"Oh c'mon, sweeties, here have a balloon. Do us all a favor and just blow them to kingdom come!" :D

I'd like to see that. Of course, he'd probably get slapped for his troubles... :D But it'd be a great way to get even.
@Tam-Come on, it'd be a great ice-breaker at parties... :D ;) And there's always Hungry Jacks.
