Need some help cp2 "Spoiler"
You're talking about the Bodak right?
They're not actually that hard to kill, just hit him with everything you've got quickly. Try Ranged to give you an attack or two before he's in range for his spell.
OR you can try to rely on your saves. You do roll a save to resist the death. Barring that, you could always respawn until he finally dies ...
Oh yeah, try Chap1 Finale when your party is high enough to spawn Bodaks. That was NOT a pleasant surprise.

bodak? HAH!
i think the hardest creature i have crossed swords with is in chapter 1, beggars nest i think, i cant remember his name but i know that he is in a ruined tower, and that when you kill him you take his head to a bloke near the gate for a reward and some praise (this orc and his m8's was terrorising the locals), anyway, i was only a lvl 5 ranger at the time and he kicked my arse, i ahd to keep running out, resting, going back in and having another dig at him till he eventualy dropped, after him, everyone else in the game was easy
btw, henchmen, as mentioned elsewhere, are not needed to complete the game, even on the harder settings (though i cant say the same if you use a mage/bard/thief), i found them more a hinderance than a help later on in the game, and as for not being able to give them your surplus armour / weapons, thats just sad
whats the point of having someone along with you that you cant interact with in a reasonable way? sure you can "talk" to them, give them "basic" instructions, but why dont they have an inventory?, if not to use the items you give them they could at least hold a few for you!
and as for money, well by the end of the game i had enough money to buy my own country!!!, and nowhere to spend it and nothing good to spend it on even if the was a place to spend it!
after chapter 1 the only reason i went into a shop was to see if A: something good was there, and B: to sell all the nice items i had found that were o use to me (they also rip you off when it comes to selling them stuff, then seeing how much it would cost you to buy it back! extortion on a grand scale
well thats my whinge over with
oh and i got stuck on a pile of loot one time and had to reload, bad coding there

Loxar was the Half-Orcs name in Blacklake district. He was pretty tough.
I didn't find the Bodak in Quint's tower too hard. Course I am a 7/1/4 Bard/Fighter/Ranger with almost 175 HP and 23 (low) AC. With Tomi running arrows through him real quick and me double attacking with my Corellon Blade he didn't take long.
Now, earlier in the game, I found the Orc-Chieftain to be a pain in the ass for some reason. He kept double hittin Tomi and wiped him out then started on me. Killed me four times. Bum.
But other then that the only really hard guy was Belial (who I killed just for fun).
Just me though
