Going to Luskan

Post by avatorbob »

I am at, what I believe, is the end of chapter 2. I'm am trying to enter Luscan, But I keep getting a screen stating 'invalid character"...and then if I choose my own character out of the list that they show, I start off in Luscan at level 1..just like I did at the beginning of the game. Has anyone else experienced this? I can't avoid this screen as it comes up when Luscan is loading.
I don't remember reading about a problem like this in the faq's.
Please help.

If you have edited your character stats or items any then the single player game will consider your player invalid. This can be remedied by going into your NWN file and editing your nwnsingleplayer.ini file. You have to find the entries that read something like singleplayerenforcelegalcharacters=1 and singleplayeritemlevelrestrictions=1 and change them both to equal 0. This will allow what the game considers invalid characters to progress. If you haven't edited your character with the console cheats its a bug and Im sorry I dont know what to tell you.

Luscan

Mathurin....you hit the nail right on the head! The same night I posted this, I also e-mailed Tech @ Infrogames with the same question. Their tech came back with the same answer. I made the change and everything now works fine.
What puzzles me, is that I have used no cheats, nor have I modified my character..........anyways...thanks again.
