Cleric/Ranger Stronghold?

Post by Nygma »

Ok, I decided to start another game. I went with the Cleric/Ranger multi, liked the idea of both cleric and druid spells. Here's my question. I got to the temple district and the Helm cleric gave me the Unseeing Eye quest. I'm neutral good, so I thought the Lathandar cleric would give me the quest? Also, the Helm guy said something like "it would be better if you were a woman of the faith". Does this mean I won't get the cleric stronghold?

Oh, I have Tashia, Solaufein, Ascension mods if that makes a difference.

I think this is a bug, but unfortunately, you can't get the Cleric stronghold if you're a multi-class Cleric/Ranger. The game checks whether you're just a "Cleric".

Personally, I think it's bogus, so when I played a Cleric/Ranger, I changed her class to a Cleric (with ShadowKeeper) temporarily before I listened to Gaal give his little speech in the street. When I got the assignment from the Temple of Lathander (my character was Neutral Good), I changed my character's class back to a Cleric/Ranger.

The Cleric stronghold isn't all that great (not many of the strongholds are), but my character DOES serve Lathander. I want the recognition from the Temple, and she wants to serve, so the strongold was important to me for role-playing reasons.

A search about strongholds could tell you more, but basically if you are multi or dual classed, whatever stronghold quest you complete first is the stronghold your PC gets.

You can get multile strong holds by downloading the mutli stronghold patch from TeamBG. Not bioware approved to my knowledge, but I have heard no complaints about it.
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.
