Viv vs Canada: who will triumph?

Post by Vivien »

*Viv paced before her suitcase, the pressing need to decide between a green flannel shirt and a red and black stripped flannel shirt on her mind. She’d had to borrow them from her fiancée because she had no flannel shirts to call her own and she knew that all Canadians wandered around in flannel shirts and big moose hide boots.

She tried the green flannel shirt on yet again, but alas, it still fell below her knees. Were all Canadians really tall and really big, or did they have shoulder booster packs that allowed them to wear such clothing? She knew she had to look the part or those Canadians, the suspicious lot they were, would haul her off to what they called a jail. Viv shuddered at the thought of being paraded down trendy Montreal in an unfashionable ‘American’ T-shirt, especially as her French was so rusty!

Hmm…though maybe if she acted quickly at the border and assured them that she was visiting a friend? Especially as she was visiting DragonWench, who (everyone knows) wanders around in skimpy dragon getting gear all day long. Ah Canada, the land of the odd!

With a sigh she decided to study her book of the Canadian language so she wouldn’t be caught off guard. Looking around she found the slightly dusty book under her bed, with a rabbit nibbling happily on it.

“No Eddie, No! Bad Bunny!!”

The rabbit paused for a second before deciding the shirt lying crumpled nearby on the floor was a better option.

With another sigh Viv rationalized clothing with holes was not such a bad thing, and began studying her book. The Chapter titled ‘’Aye’ and it’s many uses’ was going to prove troublesome.*

That’s right, A pretty short notice thing, but I’m heading up to Canada to visit DW tomorrow! Wish me luck! Also, if you have any advice as to how to deal with those odd Canadians, please let me know, I hear they’re worse than those people who live next to Bloodstalker… (i.e. HighLordDave) :) :D

Have a great time Viv (and don't forget your camera) :D

Don't worry, DW doesn't live too close to Aegis, so you could be safe... :D

First off, learn the dern language, youse damn yankee hoser... It's "Eh!" :D ;)

Second, no one knows more about what it is to be Canadian then me.

Viv vs canada? We outnumber at least 10 - 1!

Stay out of Saskatchewan!!! It's big, and most ppl just stumble across us. We have pits to keep Aegis out from the eastern side, and pit pointy rockes to stop DW on the western coast. As for the South, America has NO idea where we are ahahhahahaha.

They will regret that!!!

Smoke and mirrors baby!
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

Your Canadian and don't know what a "Bennet Buggy" is!

Well, after WWI, into the depression, when Bennet was the PM of Canada, and fuel was prices (among other prices) were soaring, Bennet proposed an idea. Those who owned vehicles could, once they ran out of fuel, attacked the harness of their horses (You know, all Canadians had them back then :D ) to the car, and have it pulled by the beast of burden. It was then named after the man who came up with the idea. ;)
