Alright, I know diamonds, dragons blood, Special holy water, Ironwood, and Adamantite are all things to keep around... but I'm looking for specific recipies for this and that. I have dragons blood, and special holy water, diamonds, and adamantite... (no ironwood) ...
What recipies for armor/weapons do you all know of?

You can ask the forgeron for a book of the recipies.

One of the recipes listed in the book is wrong, unless it's been patched. I can't remember exactly which, but I think it's a light armor (leather, studded leather?). The recipe turns it into some kind of half-plate insted of the light armor used.
Since I obviously am missing a few brain cells here, could somebody post exactly -which- armor I'm rambling about?

It's called Gargoyle Plate or something like that and combines leather armour +1, a gargoyle skull plus 500 of your hard-earned gp into some sort of plate mail. It's great armour as long as you're not playing a rogue, bard, wizard, sorcerer or ranger.Originally posted by Sirius_Sam

Jesus saves! And takes half damage!
If brute force doesn't work, you're not using enough.

Its not wrong so much as misleading. You put in leather armor so you expect to recieve leather armor. Basically you recieve +2 half-plate. It never says anywhere that you will recieve magic leather armor as a product so in effect its not wrong, although it is irritating to get something that most characters cant use. Especially since I paid for the leather armor I used to make it.
It is best to be thought a fool and stay silent, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Well, the name of the item is "Leather Whitebone Armor" in the forge recipe book, with a base AC of 3. What you end up with is magical half-plate, with a base AC of 7. That sure sounds wrong to me .
It's a nice armor, as HighLordDave pointed out, but it sure doesn't help the characters who would be most likely to make this particular magic item.
