My parents are transplanted yankees, so my grammar is a little better than that of the true sons and daughters of the Confederacy. I also have two college degrees, so my posting reflects not only my level of education, but also my training as a history major requires me to write in complete sentences and without contractions, abbreviations or smilies. If you listen to me talk, it's markedly different than the way I post.Originally posted by Vivien
Bloodstalker: But HLD DOES speak in complete sentences...is he not a true southerner? *so confused*
I must also make sure that you all know that there is a difference between true "southern" and "hillbilly speak". The former has a distinguished drawl while the latter has an annoying twang. If I posted the way I talked, you'd see lots of words like "lahtbub" (light bulb), "idinit" (isn't it) and "jewwontoo" (do you want to).
I'm sure our friends around here who don't speak (southern) English as their primary language are very happy that I don't post that way.

I think I should move south just to get to hear you people talk
The Z: *hug* Don't worry, I only tease if I think you're safe to tease, so sort of a compliment
