Here in Gamebanshee. Look in the download section. You'll find both the merchants.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Back to non-spam... ( and I'm not even a guild member/slave  :D )

I mentioned I liked using the Bone Blade for my assassin. Are there others out there who like using a less powerful, more role-playing oriented item that might be more interesting than the usual Black Razor, Celestial Fury, etc? Some suggestions... Ras +2, Black Blade of Disaster (for the cap-removed Mage-Thief), phantom blade (for the non-cap-removed mage-thief), Kundane +2, etc. Just curious.

Anyway, i like to use the +3 dagger to backstabb.....Ras+2?? Good idea, i'll try this.
Good for discussion:
less used weapon used to backstabb.

ok serious now, i always backstab with Daystar/CelestialFury i always get them as fast as possible, the weapons i use before i get those 2 are, a longswords +1 and a short sword+1 (or 2 but i'm not sure if u get one before u can get the Daystar or Fury)
i never use daggers as backstab weapons, i don't think they do enough damage long/short swords are better.
A dagger may be faster but with backstab u usually only need one hit.

@Dude- I don't think that's the point. I knoe CF and Daystar do the most damage. I'd like to hear from anyone who uses something else for other reasons than damage like just because they think the weapon is cool or has an interesting background.

@Edwin- thanks for the invitation, but I won't fall into your arcane spiderweb. :D

I got a question about the assassin. How do you people hit anything with them? I'm soloing a halfling assassin with a 19 str belst and I'm on level 17, my base thac0 is 11, and my real thac0 is 5 with my short sword. Also, I'm only listed as getting 1 attack per round, but I have the speed boots, if that makes any difference. Question is, why can't I hit anything with these stats? I always miss my backstabs and I can't do normal combat or I die way to fast. Anyone know why this is? It seems to me that I should be hitting more than I do.

I haven't run across the same problem. My first solo attempt was with a human female assassin with a strength of 12. She had a few problems hitting her target early on, but after Irenicus' Dungeon, she was high enough level that it didn't seem to matter. The bonuses you get while attacking from behind/invisible make up for the low thac0. After I bought the STR 19 girdle from Ribald and got a good sword, I seemed to hit every time.
