What "Generation" are you?
What "Generation" are you?
The 60's was the love generation.
The 70's was disco.
I have no idea what my generation was? 80's punk? Hair? Lost?
90's was Generation X.
00's unknown as of now.
Which one do you fall in?

I grew up in the 90's, but for some crazy reason, I identify more with the 80's. Or atleast I liked the 80's more than the 90's. Im still trying to figure out 00.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Born 1983, but the generation I fit in with best is the 60s.

Thanks for clearing that up, Aegis. Generation X-guy here, then (I remember such ghastly abominations as Dallas and Dynasty - let's leave it at that
).

I always ended up presuming i would have been better in another decade but the truth is those decades were all full of problems just like our own. The sixties appears to be the "free love" period but it was also a time rife with struggles for independence, there were wholsale riots and other demonstrations, on the outside it may seem like a period of time we all want to be in, but sadly just like any other generation it is steeped in problems. There was also a very strong establishment back then, extremely oppressive.Originally posted by Ode to a Grasshopper

I always thought i would have wanted to be part of the 50's, then i learned about the massive weight of oppression and the lack of civil liberties and the over-bearing establishment and decided i am happy where i am.
Anyway (
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Like I said, I'd probably have fitted in far better back then...Originally posted by Mr Sleep

Born in '76, don't remeber the 80's (for which I'm quite thankful) so I'd have to say I'm from the 90's gen. Too early to tell what this decade is like, so I might get back to you all about it in 8 years.
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't.
I think I think, therefore I might be.
I think I think, therefore I might be.
Im thankful to be ignorant of most pop culture. But, I guess I join Aegis in the ranks of Gen Y.
Muscially, I like the punk from the last 5-10 years.
@ Ode,
The cloud of green haze that surrounds you wouldn't have seemd quite so obvious I suppose....

The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.
So I just stood and listened.
In spirit I'm a child of the 70's baby!
By birthdate I'm somewhere between Gen X and Y (D.O.B. 1981).

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

No, it's judged by when the majority of your teen years were, usually, not when you were born, Generation X were the teenagers of the 90s. But that doesn't mean I like being called a Gen Xer.Originally posted by Aegis
Actually, the 80's was Gen. X, the 90's is Gen Y.
I think I would have quite liked the 60s though.
Do you have any photos of you in flares and an afro?Originally posted by Gwalchmai
That would make me a 70's guy.
