it isn't always miniskirt season...we had a hail storm a week ago. not too many miniskirts around when ice is pelting you in the head.

and as for the hell orca, are they trained enough to leap out of the water and attack me by the pools edge? or am i safe just laying out checking out the miniskirts and bikinis

And how are all the powerful mages and stealthy thieves doing on this mighty fine day :D
Let try and get this topic back on a BG2 track shall we. :)
I remember that we were talking about the mage and thief party (only a 2-man party) and what would their advantages be and what would their disadvantages be.
Any good tactics?

@nael, The Hell Orca is fully trained in extra-aquatic maneuvers. He can venture ashore for short periods and drag his victims back into the water with him (Truth is stranger then fiction since Killer Whales will actually beach themselves in order to grab seals and drag them back to the sea  ;) ).

Image
Try to run, try to hide, break on through to the other side!
So sayeth the Hell Orca.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

(@ garcia help is on the way :D ;) )

wow Garcia that is really a serieus surgestion for this topic  haven't got such one in a long time :D :D

but it is good
it think here are some great advantages when playing with a thief and mage (i make it an sorceror toreally get advantages)

- first of all u don't have to pick Knock as a spell so u can pick something different.

- u don't need spells like Farsight or Wizzardeye because u have your thief to spie for u.

- u can get ride of the spell Spider Spawn because for early encounters u have a thief to fight for u and when u get late encounters u can cast raise undead.

As for the thief (let say it is an Assassin :D ):

- don't really have put a lot points in Detect Ilusions because with a sorceror u can cast Treu Sight.

- with the poison it let your sorceror save that last Maggic Missle or Acid Arrow (throlls)

- because of the backstab the Assassin can do a lot of damage so it saves a lot of spell for the Sorceror.
-and because the Assassin is ad his weakest when he backstabbed he can easely walk away and hide again, while the sorceror takes care of the rest.

- because of the Treu Sight u can put a lot of points in Hide in Shadows, Move Silently and set traps.
that last one is important so u still can do some great damage to some foe's with magic resistance (that is right, right?)

- with the spells from the Sorceror the Assassin gets only better with Improved Invis. he can really do much backstab damage or with spells like Improved Haste even the Assassin is good in hand to hand.

- The biggest advantage is that u still can use weapons like Celestial Fury and Staff of the Magi ad the same time :D

So i think it is great to Dubbel Solo with a Assassin and a Sorceror.
Or just get a Assassin and pick up Edwin )

the only thing greater is playing a Assassin/Mage so u can cast great defense spells and tenser transformation to get great backstabs

pff me firts serieus post in 2 weeks :D
long post btw

on topic: i think i would still take wizard eye, it's value for taking on spells is irreplacable.

on miniskirts and hell orca: what if i line up several hot girls in miniskirts as a distraction for the hell orca, actually, nevermind, i wouldn't want to waste them. how about small children? can i appease the hell orca by offering it children to eat so i can enjoy the sun in peace?
"mister, why are you danglign us from a meat hook over the pool? and why are you pouring seal blood into the pool right around us?"
"oh, no reason. just shut up and hope the hell orca gets you in one bite, instead of in pieces...Aaaaahhhhhhhhh, nothing like a beautiful texaas day to enjoy a day by the pool"

well, theres no need to answer garcia's question, since thedude already did it. I think its his first serious reply since weeks, and the first post which is longer then his signature.
:D :D

@ nael : I think kayless would cast haste on his orca so it can eat the children and you in a matter of seconds. :D

Is someone able to think of an interesting subject for a long discussion? We still have to make it to the 500 posts. (Altough it is possible with the spam and miniskirts :D )
Maybe we can discuss some new solo possibilities? i dont think we will play ass-ass-ins and mages for the rest of our lives. (well, maybe...)So, any suggestions?

That is so true :D :D
what did u do read all my posts or what ? :D
But people still feel free to answer Garcia's question maybe that way we will be respected again as a 'normal' guild, with not only spam but some serieus topics.
I don't say i've got some thing about the spam, in fact spam away because i want to be here to post the 500st post, but it is also nice to talk about real subject right?
So keep spaming and posting away !
but do give people some credit for there posts (did u know who long it takes to typ such a frigg'n long post :D :D )
And please don't only talk about Orca's from Hell, to tell u the truth i don't really get the whole orca thing.
Kayless is this still for your treatening pool people in texas?? :D
or is this just got out of hands??

damm another post langer then my sign :D :D

Awwww, you made the Hell Orca cry Dude. Image Now he’s jumped out of the pool and waddled over to the YMCA. Let’s hope the Village People are using the pool. :D

A serious non-spam topic eh? I’m drawing a blank… Anybody got any bright ideas? :o :p

What's with you guys bashing swashbucklers. Is because they don't get extra points for taking a guy from behind ( if you know what I mean). Anyways I made the best ass evil conjurer, but I dont think he'll be joining a guild who think Orca's are war machines. Anyone see Free willy...

You dare mock the Hell Orca?! Be gone Newbie lest ye be devoured! :p :D

(Anyone see the footage of a Great White Shark attacking an Orca a while back? The poor shark never had a chance. Kinda makes you look at Shamu a little differently now.)

Hehehe I loved that cartoon nael. I’m surprised someone else on the board even remembers it. As for Sea World, forget it. My Hell Orcas are all cloned in my Secret Mountain Fortress tm. (Well, not so secret anymore. :o )

Regarding the movie Free Willey, did anyone else out there think it would have been a better movie if the whale had gulped down the kid as he jumped over the barrier into the open ocean? *gulp, get rid of those darn humans, now I'm free*

Or maybe there could have been mud flats on the other side. Can you say "lawn dart"? Okay, maybe only Kayless will gat that! :D

“Oh no! Willy didn’t make it! And he crushed our boy!” ;)

I just have this picture of Willey leaping into the air for freedom and landing nose first into a mud flat, back half of his body sticking up into the air, fins wagging helplessly, tail flapping in futility. Does this mean I'm demented? :D

@Dude: wow, great post the one you explained the assassin/sorcerer combo.....
About my band: we'll be playing in a festival in Leipzig (Germany) on 2 June......if any of you is there, let me know....i'll try to have a free entrance....I've also made a new website....i'll give you all the address soon.

@Kayless: we can make the orca an assassin to protect our guild......the only disadvantage is that she has low hide in shadows.... :D

Edwin That is Great :D

now about the orca thing (i see this topic is so popular i think i just go ith it :D :D )
i must say i Hated Free Willy, not really the orca but the kid urgh !
many times i saw the video and rewind the moment when then 10 ton weighting Willy (lol :D ) jumps bout 5 meters upmin the sky (pretty high for such a big beast) and every time i wa hoping he would squash the boy.
BUt believe it or not allthe 100 times the orca made it
Btw the movie would definatly be better if the orca just fought its way out to freedom eating everything and everyone in sight.

That would be a movie! :D
Willy the Killer Hell Orca from Sea World :D :D
