Weasel's posts are as the stars in the sky, like the sands of the sea. The closer you look, the more posts he has. He will never be caught! We plod along in his footsteps, but the tracks are getting fainter.

:( Let's not go there.

However, I'm glad this one has gone on like this. While there has been much spamming, there has also been good content.

I'm interested in the mod The Darkest Day. They will have some new thief kits. They will make some interesting characters and dual classes. If you haven't checked them out. Only one has been detailed, but there are more to come. Check out the BG2 mainpage here at GB for a link. And, no, I'm not connected to the project in any way. Just an avid BG2 and roleplaying fan. :D

I originally posted this in the Shadow Guild and am curious what you all think. Should Stalkers be allowed to join despite being rangers? They are defined as follows:
Stalkers serve as covert intelligence-gatherers, comfortable in both wilderness and urban settings. They are spies, informants and interrogators and their mastery of stealth makes them deadly opponents.
Special Abilities: Can backstab like a thief. Has small amount of mage spells.
Restrictions: Cannot wear armor greater then studded leather.

Should they be considered in the same category as Assassin/Mages?
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I think you're right Kayless. They're rangers, but they have some nice thief abilities.....For me it's OK if they want to join. Expecially for the backstabb ability :p

@dude: no, i'm not in any photo, but i've made some of them.....i don't think i'll ever be in an official photo. Fans want to look at band members, not at managers.... :p

good point i think they may join us, 'cause they can do practicly the samen as assassins and mages :D

speaking of Stalkers why can't Valygar cast mage spells? and why doesn't he get more damage with a backstab ??
in the manualit say's that stalkers can cast a small amount of mage spells and can backtstab like thieves, but why not Valygar ??

Just wondering :D :D

You cant learn valygar spells he gets them at level 12 (or something) but he can't write spells. these are haste, minor spell deflection and protecton from normal weapons.

He gets 3 mage spells at level 12, but he's still just a ranger and is limited to those three mage spells once per day. But he gets priest spells at higher levels. And i think he's a almost as good backstabber as a thief, he has only a multiplier of 3, but the thac0 of a fighter. I once played a stalker: very sparingly used the (mage) spells, and backstabbed nearly all the time. if his backstab fails he can still fight as good as a paladin. One drawback, you cant get that insane damage as with an assassin, usually the damage is around 100 (at the exp cap, until then the multiplier is even lower).

Are bards allowed? i'm thinking about starting a multiplayer party with a jester, sorcerer, and a fighter as a tank.
The jester just to confuse the enemies while invisible, and the others to finish them off.
What do you guys think?

if we all post lots and lots of spam in the anomen topic, it could be placed in the SYM forum.
But if we all post there they will get 500 posts earlier, so for every spam reply you post there, post 2 serious replies here.
Or just let kayless do all the spam :D :D

trikztar- why do you prefer incediary cloud over abi-dalzim's horrid wilting? horrid wilting does more damage per round plus won't effect your own party. just curious.

hey how about that everybody...nonspam!
