Thanks Tyb, it's not that bad...I probably would sleep more it I weren't so unconfortable with the heat here. It's very hot weather and our flat is even hotter thanks to the large windows and sunshine all day

Well it is quite uncomfortable where I am, aswell. However Ive got an air conditioner in my room, so I dont have to suffer from the heat while I sleep.

@Tybaltus: Air condition...how nice, I wish I had that here. In old European houses like the one I live in (built 1860), there is never air condition. And 90% of the time it's so cold here so you don't need one

Hey, a classic house. That must be pretty cool to live in old fashioned house, aslong as its well maintained. We need air conditioning. Usually when people think of MA, USA they think of cold, or snow. We get into the 70's to 90's from May to September.

Hey, a classic house. That must be pretty cool to live in old fashioned house, aslong as its well maintained. We need air conditioning. Usually when people think of MA, USA they think of cold, or snow. We get into the 70's to 90's from May to September.

I've never been to MA, I used to have some friends in Boston, and they described the climate as similar to here (Sweden). Fairly cold and some snow in the winter, hot summer, but I think the summer stays a bit is longer where you live.

I like this kind of old stone houses, I can't really imagine living in a modern house

Wooden floor, large windows, 12 feet between floor and ceiling, it's a special style that you don't see in modern Scandinavian houses. The only thing I don't like with this house is that it has a pinkish sort of facade, not very pretty. (Ask Dottie, he has seen it)

Sounds like a luxurious house. Far from what Ive got. We have to repair our roof constantly because the people who put the addition to our house was a fly-by-night operation. They took our money and ran. Weve never found them. The problem with the roof was they didnt put shingles, instead, they took a short cut, and just put a shingle material CARPET-so that didnt let the water flow from the roof down towards the ground. Rather it was just stagnant and eventually it caused a drip in out house. Weve fixed that, but it cost plenty of money. Stupid fly-by-night operation

Most houses in the inner city look like this, the apartments are horribly expensive and often quite luxorious...this was too, but we were lucky since the people we bought it from were in a hurry to move elsewhere

About where in MA do you live, in a city or a rural area?

Horrible with your roof, must have costed a fortune to fix such a major problem

It's amazing what so called "professional" people can do sometimes...my best friend who lives in a bunglow-style house payed a lot of money to get her cellar fixed, and the very next day the wallpaper fell down

I live in a largish yet small town called Sudbury. Very quiet here. Im about 45 minutes west of Boston, driving.

A fly by night operation is a group of fakes posing as a business. They trick people that they are professionals. When they get enough money, they close the operation before people sue and leave the country. Thats why we had difficulty locating them. They used false names, ID's, everything. They planned it very well and took our family as idiots and took our money

The addition was just horrible and we have spent the last 2 years repairing something that was started 10 years ago.
