Where are you going, or why will you be gone?

Hi Tom,

Just wanted to say that I intend to reply to your question about neuroscience and consciousness...but since you are going to be away for a week, I figured I wait a bit...and think something out ;) :D

Have a good holiday :)

I live in a largish yet small town called Sudbury. Very quiet here. Im about 45 minutes west of Boston, driving.

A fly by night operation is a group of fakes posing as a business. They trick people that they are professionals. When they get enough money, they close the operation before people sue and leave the country.
Largish yet small, sounds like a nice place :) My hubby lived in Boston one year when he was a teen, and I used to have some friends living about 30 mins drive from Boston, but since I never visited then while they lived there, I'm not sure which direction. I'll visit MA some day, providing I'll live long enough :D

You'll never know when you're going to need me again, take this flashlight and point it towards the nightsky when you do. ;) I would be happy?

That was purely coincidential. :o You as a scientist shouldnt have any problems to differ between correlation and casuality. :D
How nice, what pattern will the flashlight show? And what am I to do if it is daytime or a cloudless night? And how is it supposed to help me? That is no reason.

Yes, as a scientist I do. It's a simple task to carry out a controlled study to check whether this correlation is causal or not, and in what direction the causality is going. In fact, it is so simple I have already done it.

Alright, Ill get in this final response before I head to bed:
Not exactly sure why you want to visit here. Weve got a lot of history in the city-lots of things happened there. We also have good lobsters and clam chowder but thats about it. Maybe I only think this way because Ive lived here my entire life. But, hey, this place isnt that bad.

@Tyb: Sorry, I must have missed your question, I'll check into that :( Good night, sweet dreams :)

@Tom: Nah, part of it is also that I've been ill and my brain is not so sharp :D Visiting you family, are you originally Danish, or have they moved to Denmark or are you Danish-English?

It will show a blue bracelet, and you cant use it during daytime if its cloudless (this is a feature, not a bug), but its a *very* strong flashlight so it will work at all other occations. When you use it I will arive to your home within an hour or so, perhaps sooner if I take the buss instead of walking. Thats strange, its always been a reason for me... Perhaps you are ill?

You're lying! that would require some kind of video surveilance over... my... life...

Read this, the guy called himself Logic is a threat, then El Matto. He used to call himself Aragorn returns, maybe you remember him, I did not but it was of course obvious he was out for something stupid.

Aha, visit the SYM Stockholm faction some day when you are in Denmark. That's me, Silur, Astafas and Dottie. I hope you saw the England meeting in the photo thread. :)

A blue bracelet...how interesting, that must symbolise something special. ;) OK, I remember that next time I need you for something...very handy. Perhaps I should let you live after all and see if you can prove yourself useful in some other manners than surrogate air condition? We are very different. Your happiness in the sole one that does not count even in a mega-utilitarian view.

Yes. Exactly.

EDIT: Before you go Tom, check my last post in the Vice versa thread and say what you think about number of words.

Well, to be honest it could take longer time depending on who's online at GB... But dont let that change your mind. Then you could tell me because i would have time to prepare, wich will perhaps lead to me doing a better job.

But... but... thats unfair :( Now you know ... :(

coffee is brewing now will feel better soon.

I dont think my posts will be anywhere near 2000 words (i can demolish anyone with 50 :D ) seriously i think that it is fine as an upper limit or we could lower it if HLD dosnt constrain himself.

its easy to be a fan russell - that guy is way cool.

will check pic now.
