Why so? The Lionheart forum has had a very lengthy thread in which many people are complaining that there is no pause control. And one of the developers did an interview in which he said the game was without any pause, and balanced as such.Originally posted by Demis
It seems that Lionheart will be very similar to Fallout Tactics using the SPECIAL system. So there must be an option for turn based comat too.

@fable, As far as i can tell the developers didn't say that there will be no pause, they have only said that for now this option is not included, and if they find that it is neccessary to include it they will. Correct me if i am wrong.
What i was trying to say is that the game might not have a pause feature because it might has an option to either play the game in real time or turn base like fallout tactics.

You are dreaming. If this was true, why wouldn't the developers tell everyone? This is a real time disaster in the making.Originally posted by Demis

No need to strike out about it, EPKJ--your point is no better or worse for being stated aggressively. And I don't think Demis would "dream" anything up.Originally posted by EPKJ

@Demis, I've read conflicting info from the devs on this. One interview simply states that the game will function in realtime, without any pause. Period. Another, later interview (with Eric D) is a lot more diplomatic, and remarks that some kind of pause feature isn't in the game right now, and that "We could technically do if the design warranted it." (This is a quote from the interview.) That can be seen as either backpeddling due to massive player complaints on the forum (which Eric specifically mentions in the interview), genuine lack of commitment to a major design feature in the game (which would be startling at this point in dev), or public relations BS. Can't say I know which it is, but at this point Lionheart has no pause feature. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

@EPKJ, it is your right to disagree, but doing it like this is not a proper way, i don't believe i gave you a reason to be aggressive.
I don't understand your disappointment about this game, the game might not have a pause but this is not a reason for the game to be a disaster. Maybe the game will be better even without a pause feature, and judging by fallout tactics i for my part am very positive towards Lionheart and it is a game that i would like to try out even though I also prefer to have a pause feature.
@fable, this is all we can do for now i guess.

Sorry, fable, but this doesn't work with me. Define "aggressive". Lacking any context, your statement is absolutely meaningless. I realize that it is easier for you to make ad hominem attacks than defend your ridiculous position, however, this nonsense does not work with me. So, try sticking to defending your position.

You also need to define "aggressive", demis. Your out of context ad hominem adds nothing to this debate.
Now, SPECIAL is being used to market Lionheart to Fallout fans. Fallout is TURN BASED. Lionheart is NOT. The company is attempting to mislead gamers in the same way that BioWare did regarding Neverwinter Nights. They are marketing one game, and actually producing another. This is called lying. I hope you see my point. Call Lionheart and Neverwinter Nights 3rd person shooters, and I have no problem, but call them CRPG's, and I will call you a liar.

Hmm. After all no CRPG deserves the RPG title because it doesn't give you as much ability to ACTUALLY roleplay effectively. I'd call you a liar if you said CRPGs have roleplaying. They just have RPG systems, that's all.
When you've played actual RPGs you realize how limited your RPing is. And in games where your HP rival that of an APC, such as AD&D, it's the same as above...
