Buying the game...

Post by Virgil57 »

I am trying to get a copy of this game, but there are to versions that seem the be available: Planscape Torment w/ Soulbringer and the normal Planescape. Is Soulbringer some expansion or something? Which one should I look for? Thanks.

Soulbringer is a separate game. I suspect you're buying a used "twofer" from somebody.

Thanks. Im that case I found a cool deal on eBay, $22 for BG, Planescape, and Fallout 2. I already have BG, but I figure $22 for the other two alone is a good deal.

Oh, it's worth it. I'd suggest playing it twice, the first time with fighter stats (high on strength and constitution), the second time as a mage (high on intelligence, wisdom). You'll find it a very different experience.

I just bought Planescape: Torment a few days ago. I got it at Fry's Electronics (brand new), and it came in a two-pack with Soulbringer. I've never seen the original release. How many CD's were in it? This edition has version 1.10 on two CDs, along with a CD jewelcase and a box just big enough to hold the jewelcase; there's no manual or anything else.

This game is so good, I sure wish I had bought it a long time ago.
