Limeware from Ebonheart

Post by Jan Mistique »

Help....I am trying to steal the Limeware from Ebonheart for Alarvyne Indala. I am on board the ship in the harbour but am unable to pick the lock to the lower levels without getting killed by the guards. Since the guards don't seem to go home to bed, I wondered whether you could give me some tips on how to get the limeware. Actually, is it on the ship or somewhere else?

Thankyou in advance,

Jan

It's in a crate - I forget which level of the ship. To sucessfully steal it, you need to be in stealth mode - with the sneak icon visible. Chameleon via potion or spell is a big help here. You could also try Telekinesis + Open on the locks.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Spoiler

The limware you are trying to steal is in the lowest level of the ship. If you have decent stealth/lockpicking skills, it should be easy to do. If not, then try Chameleon like Sojurner suggested.

I did it as follows (playing a Kajitt thief, so your mileage may vary): The hatch to go down to the lowest level is through a doorway with enough room to partially conceal someone from the guards. So, I went back there, positioned myself so I could see the guards but was still somewhat concealed, then went into stealth and picked the lock.

Hope this helps.

Thankyou for the help. Although I had tried the things suggested before (except chameleon), I tried them again but with the same lack of success! Obviously thieving and sneaking is not an option for a 'Lawful Good' character who has not practised these things much! I found that immediately I tried to pick the lock, I became visible to the guards. I did try to hide but again, got found out. Perhaps I was too fat to hide behind the door post!! Anyway, what I did in the end was pick the lock (needed to do this successfully on the first try), immediately went through the hatch and recovered a bit of health. Then I went back out and ran for my life (literally) and went back on to the dock side where I found another guard, talked to him nicely and paid my bounty. Then I went back into the ship, through the hatch, stole the goods and waltzed back out as free as you like!!! A sort of cheat but all that I could manage. My reputation stayed the same as before all this thieving etc so hopefully, I am unaffected by it.

My guess is that Limeware is a type of pottery or metal. You find Limeware bowls and platters in the game. So I guess that those things are made out of Limeware.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.
