How is Diablo 2 actually??
i thought of buying it if i had to wait for ToB any time longer (now i don't have to because it is out and i will buy it tomorrow)
But is it worth to buy Diablo 2 after i finished ToB???

i like to know how long u can play it longer then SoA or not?

How's this... I'm testing some scripts and want to heal my main character with Ctrl+R, but accidentally press Ctrl+Y instead. Reload time!

hey, congrats pebz....now we just need to wait for thedude and we can finally begin philosophizing strategies.
quick question though...which did you think was harder...demogorgon or the end (won't say what the end was)

@pebz - were you aware of what lay ahead for that final battle? knowing what i know now, it will be so much easier, but going in cold, i thought it was unbelievably hard. i had used up most of my spells early on, and was left prayign for a big part of it.

Had no clue how the last battle would be, but i was prepared :D

What party did you have?

Mine:
Valon - Cavalier (me) - Purifier +5 and Darksteel Shield +4
Minsc - Axe of the Unyielding +5 and FoA +5
Jaheira - Spectral Brand +5 and Shield of Harmony +2
Sir Anomen - Crom Faeyr and Shield of the Order +4
Nalia - Firetooth +5
Imoen - Short Bow of Gesen

Two mages with Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting can really do wonders :D

it was me (sorcerer), minsc, korgan, keldorn, viconia, and aerie.
i just didn't have vic with many damage spells ready, and aerie kept dying, my sorceress used up a huge chunk of her spells in the first couple fights. i basically wasted everythign on the first fight because i didn't focus on the main baddie at all, instead i kept fighting her goons which just keep coming because she'll keep summoning if you leave her alone. then once i finally beat her, i used up my heal spells without thinking of just waiting for my regenerating items to do their job.
once i realized to only go after her, things went a lot better, but i had so little to work with. i was really impressed with myself that i got through it.

You might be spoiling abit...

I think my party is pretty good because everyone has 16 or better con, and very good dext aswell (beside Anomen, but dext gauntles fix that)... so they can take quite a beating... even imoen :p

Hello everyone!!! I have been in Switzerland for the week-end for a concert of my band....a great success!!!! ;)
On the other side i've lost my saved game of ToB, so i decided to start a new game in SoA (to hav emore exp and all the good stuff). My party is: me (kensai dualled to thief al lvl 12.....i wornder when i'll gain the use any item ability.....); Valygar; Mazzy; Aerie (romance); Edwin (cannot miss this guy....); Cernd (to see how druids work in ToB). That's a totally different party form my previous ones, but i wanted to see the end for these guys.....in my next game i'll use a totally different party.

So please don't spoil too much because i've not finished ToB yet......
About the wild mage......a consideration. I've not played it yet, but i tried making one (to see his stas and spells). I was really disappointed to see that he has the number of spells of a plain mage. I'd have loved him with an extra spell per lvl, like for a specialist.....

About the topic. Noone rules here, but we must come back to some serious discussion for some time....because soon we'll reach 1500 posts, and so another party will start!!!! ;) :p

so, has anyoen here successfully got a party of nothing but mages completely through? obviously we all know that the fire power is there, but there just isn't enough good robes and items to go around...
oh, and bump from second page

I've downloaded some of Manveru's BGI characters....that's great!!!! Now it's like having the opportunity of making a multiplayer in single payer. I mean you can have a lot of different characters. If you want a party of all mages you can have Edwin, Xan, Xzar and Dynaheir......or you can pick Skie, now an assassin!!!!
So another point for discussion....best party with characters from BGI for playing BGII.....
