I think so, yes. The unknown in the form of mysterious explanations seems more acceptable, perhaps more interesting, than simply not knowing.

You can't blow up a thread, although you could get Sleep to close it, thats almost like blowing it up.

Although I wouldn't recommend it ;)

I have read all of his books but really injoyed 'consider phlebas'. FANTASTIC :)

Another one of the flock? :cool: I have read every single one apart from The Business (IIRC) and one of the other Culture novels, my favourite is probably Innversions, it just really appeals to me, i also liked The Player of Games, i really enjoyed the whole tactics aspect, plus the way that Banks describes this complex games without giving us much indication how they play it :)
