purpose of resurrection spell in NWN?

Post by free_fall »

Since your henchman is automatically resurrected back at the temple if he/she dies and, if your PC dies, you can choose respawn or reload, what is the purpose of having raise dead or resurrection spells in NWN?

I wondered this as well for a while......but it is for multiplayer games so that fallen comrades can be brought back to life rather than their having to undergo the penalties of respawning.
