Battle sorceress

Hi all, A player has approched me and asked to improve her sorceress PC. To cut it short I have taken over this group as the old DM left who seemed to enjoy giving her crap spells,feats etc. Which I have been asked to right. Now my main plan of action was to make her a battle sorceress as they can be more powerful than a mage in that aspect. I need some help or other suggestions to improve her- anything feats,skills etc.

For magic I have circled out these spells as the main battle mage ones- tell me what you think!

Level 0: Anything nothing much helps I think?
Level 1: Sheild,Mage armor, obscuring mist, truestrike,enlarge.
Level 2: Mirror image, bulls strenght, cats grace, blur.
Level 3: Hold person, Displacement, slow, fly, haste.
Level 4: Stoneskin, Ice storm, Improved Invisability, Dimension Door.

She hasnt go to level 5 spells yet- but soon will so any help there would be helpful to!

Playing a sorcerer untill lvl 14, i might be able to help, though my sorcerer had slightly diffrent tactics, i still know a lot about spells and such.

lvl 5-Cone of Cold, Dismissal, Feeblemind, Bigby's Interposing Hand, Teleport, Cloudkill

lvl 6-Acid Fog, Chain Lightning, Circle of Death, Disintegrate, Tenser's Transformation, Globe of Invulnerability

lvl 7-Spell Turning, Power Word Stun, Dlayed Blast Fireball, Prismatic Spray, Simulacrum, Finger of Death, Limited Wish

Yep that did help me alot!!

But she has oe problem she only has 28 HP which I know is great for a level 5 sorceress- 2 of the max you can have I think!- isnt that good for a battle sorceress- anyway She can keep alive long enough in battle to make a difference?

Cum on any help will do!

1 spell can make all the differnce though these deffensive spells may help(they arnt in any order, just naming some)

stoneskin, shield, mage armor, preconation, cats grace, endurance, wall of fire, globe of invulnrability, protection from spells, protection from evil, fire shield, spell turning.

There are more but thats off the top of my head.

the summon spells are always a good bet as well.
