Hall of Remembrance

Post by Bloodstalker »

Reading through some threads, I discovered that several of our members are lamenting the passing of those warriors of old. It seems some of us need to have a place to go and reflect upon times past, and pay homage to those who have gone before.

Being a "tweener ( I came in on the tail ends of the old days, and remember being a little tyke with 2 posts looking up at all those big post counts) I decided to create the hall. It may have been done, it may not have, but I am too lazy to look

Therefore, the Hall is open for members to enshrine those that have passed from SYM's halls, immortalizing and preserving those names and deeds for newer and future generations.

So, enter, have a look around remember the "good ol' days" of Spam  :D and cry in your beer. This is a hall of honor (or dishonor) depending on your view.

I will be selling T-shirts and coffee mugs from a booth in the rear. I am trying to negotiate with CE to offer counseling to those who need to work through their loss or their anger at a former regular leaving before they had a chance to counter-flame the sorry no account that schorched them and then ran from the board without giving them time to retaliate.

Consider your nominations carefully, as those ensdrined here will forever be elevated to at least Demi-God status. ;) :D

I nominate Ubik. One of the origianls of SYM, thankfully there was only one , a master of flaming and other things too terrible to mention :D Ubik was an honored or maybe dishonored member of the infamous Guns & Cookies. Last seen being wrestled to the ground by Ubika in a jealous fight over Mrs. Sleep

I will put forth Flagg. (Only because no one else will :D :D )

One of the master flirts...a true threat to the Master flirt Waverly. :D

(Second pick..Maurice. :) Aged before his time.)

It's a pity we can only nominate SYMers, otherwise I would nominate Hazim Ibn Gorion whos posts in the SoA forum was one of the reasons I stayed at Gamebanshee...

For SYMers I wish to nominate Darkpoet, despite him being banned later on. Banning or not, he contributed much to the SYM society and was a true profile here for a long time.

I'd say probably BS himself, seeing as how he's become...
  1. A constant alcoholic :D
  2. An Underground Pervert
  3. A Crabby Hermit
  4. A starter of multiple Barfights
  5. A Sultan of a Spiritual journey
  6. A very unique DF charactor with a fetish for drinking during battles. :D
    [/list=1]

THen there's Odie, too... I'll list all of his reasons later. :D

Yes you did, you said you would SMACK me. I said you would get a black eye if you did, so you attacked anyway. I think you are the one who started it. :D

@AC, that was after the fact :p

@Ty, if you recall, I asked beforehand if you were extending a challenge :D

Sadly, I cannot be enshrined, as I have not passed from the realm of SYM. Therefore, all statments about my rouguish nature are stricken from the record

I'll nominate Sailor Saturn. She was an ever feisty lass commonly known for shedding her garments amongst the taverns of SYM. Alas, she chose to take on Waverly (a bad idea speaking from experience) and wound up in exile.

It's good to be the only one to engage in a flame war with good ol' Wankerly, and come out unscathed... :D

I wouldn't say I was unscathed, but I did learn quite a bit during that time about the way things work around here. I did survive though, and put things on good terms in the end.
