I started my battle with Firkraag, but was getting my butt kicked, so I retreated back upstairs, resurrected my casualties, healed up and went back for round two.
Firkraag is gone.
I didn't hurt him much, so I can't believe he fled. Question is: is this a bug? Should I reload or will he show up again later? (I try to reload only when I get killed as a rule.... but this is a red dragon and I want him!)

I would guess that he ran away and would never come back (maybe it's a bug, but it makes sense as dragons are interested in their long lifespan and don't participate in fights they don't think they'll win... of course they are arrogant as sorcerors when talking about their powers, and thus often end in fight too tought for them...).
