Baldur's Gate 2 in a futuristic way

Post by ThorinOakensfield »

Imagine having BG2 in the 20th century. Guns instead of sword. Bullet-proof vest instead of armor. Snipers instead of crossbows. Dwarves and Gnomes make computers instead of armour. Differnt types of weapons sold at differnt prices. Grenades are more expensive while a pistol is cheap.

I cannot possibly imagine BG2 set in any other time other than the one it is in already.
BG2 in the 20th Century? It wouldn't work for me.

With machine guns on the market protection from normal missiles would be very useful :) Unless they are firing +1 bullets...

Well, would you still be the spawn of bhaal, or would they make you something else, like spawn of rambo and give you super fighting bonuses and stuff?
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

Have you tried Deus Ex?? It's REALLY great and can be compared to BG IMO. It's in first person but it's not a shooter game. You gain exp. with quests, the way you solve them, and have different specializations to put your skill points into.....very good....and addictive....

Yeah - let's hope they make FO:3 soon :D

I wouldn't compare Deus Ex to BG, but it is still a great game though :)
