Well I've just finished watching the Shining, so you'll excuse me if I'm even more strange than normal :D Hmm, I've had a pretty relaxed day...watching the Grand Prix, stir fry, then a good night in with Jack Nicholson, popcorn and coke...life is pretty good, apart from the bit where my hard drive is littered with bad sectors. At least I know what the problem was...

Ah. The Shining. What a classic film that was. I loved it. I watched it for the first time a year ago, and since then, I have incorperated a couple of shots from that film into a couple music videos Ive created. What a puzzling end that was to the movie, dont you think?

Grand Prix fan? F1, right? What race was it?

What was so surprising about the ending? Do you mean the photo from 1921 with Jack in? I thought that was explained by the butler/previous killer's speech that "you were always the caretaker" - that makes sense if you're willing to believe that the axe-murdering spirit is the same one as always...the picture is just to make you completely sure that it's the same one. Or something :D

Yes, F1. It was the Hungarian GP, Rubens Barrichello won it, with Michael Schumacher 2nd. Go Ferrari!! :p

@Kam Yup thats what I meant. Maybe I should watch it again. I certainly wouldnt mind seeing the classic again.

Ferrarri always wins. It seems that Schumacher is always in the top 2. He is just too good. I dont follow F1 as much as I follow NASCAR and CART, but I try and keep up with it. What did you think of the incident where Barrichello moved over to let Schumacher win? Its things like that that can take fans away from the sport.

EDIT-Well Im off to eat supper. Dont know when Im going to return, but Ill return sometime tonight...

The film is indeed a classic, however I don't particularly like it being branded "horror". More like "psychological thriller", it didn't even remotely scare me or make me jump once  :D

Yup, Schumacher is too good :D That's why I like him. He's been my favourite driver ever since Ayrton Senna died. He is an absolute genius behind the wheel, especially in the rain. I remember a race a few years back, I think it was Belgium, when he raced as if it was completely dry, everyone else was sliding all over the place, but despite starting near last place, he scythed through the field and won the race. As to the incident when Barrichello let him through, I think that was deplorable, but I don't hold Schumacher responsible...it would have been very dangerous, since Barrichello had been told to slow down, if he had tried to slow down as well on the last corner, as he must have only seen what was coming at the last minute. Passing his teammate was almost forced upon him, and you could see after the race that he was extremely unhappy with the whole situation.

EDIT - cya Tyb...I dunno if I'll be around when you get back, so goodnight if I'm gone :)

How would this payment come about?

Oh, by the way, did you know that this thread now has the second most posts in any thread in SYM? I think it might be just about beating Goody as well, which means it's second ever...to the DF Tavern. Have you cast your vote yet on that poll? You could have a little piece of history here :p

I reached 1k by that thread! Ysh was teasing me about deleting it, and that's how that poll came to be... But I know that no matter how evil she think she is, she wouldn't delete it. :) Still, I think she should just leave it. It is history, after all. :D

To clean up this place, you'd eventually post 10 times an hour to ... report on your status without even knowing it. Easy. :D

Ill have you both know that I am a good reason why this bar has hit the elite post status. I have SPAMmed here since day 1 of the bar's existance with no sight of stopping. Only BS and his pantless marine "buddies" and AC with her plasma rifle can stop me now... :D
