Cricket is the male version of rounders a british game for women.

Just to point out a little known fact.
Most US games are based on female british games.

Netball - basketball
Rounders - Baseball
Touch rugby - football.

Women couldnt play cricket or rugby as it was too rough and the cricket ball to hard.
So they were pitched the ball a la softball.
The americans made baseball out of it.

Cricket is a complex sport.
If you want a proper explanation, it could take years.
Lets just say it is a far better version of baseball.
