My char is gone now, I was in redoran vivec grabbing a key to the vaults, and I was attacked. For some reason, the game overwrote my save with an autosave when I reached 2 HP...so now I dont have a chance against three guards. I have to restrart again. Why did it do that???

Hmmmm....Ive never heard that before. No idea why that happened. If you have a ring, amulet, or scroll of divine/alsimvi intervention, maybe you can bail in time, or maybe you can turn invisible and RUN. Other than that I am puzzled for answers. Sorry.

i'm level one, hoping to get some nice armor to start off with...the only scrolls i have are unhinging. I guess I'll restsart...i dunno when i'll be able to playw tih school starting monday...i needed to restart anyways, i needed to change one of my skills

Enter a console command to give you more health or something, just to get you out of that fight. It's cheating, but you have just cause.

Sorry I can't tell you what the command would be, but do a search for Morrowind console commands because several web sites have listings.
