That would require vast memory, the likes no mortal could ever posses, Creatures 1,2,3 had the capacity to do the unlimited change your talking of. Ofcourse if you jsut want to mix and match abilities one of the fine people here will show you how to use Shadow keeper

Could you be a bit more specific as to the problem. I will take your question at face value for what it is.

First you have to be a mage and it has to be your main character. (NPCs like Nalia, Aerie, Edwin, and Jan cannot cast the spell). Second, you have to get a spell scroll for casting the Familiar spell. Its first level so as soon as you have it you can do it. Simply memorize it, or put it in a quick slot, and cast the spell. Depending on your alignment you will be blessed with a some type of Familiar. You can talk to your familiar by selecting the dialog icon at the bottom bar of the screen and then clicking on the green circle around the familiar - it will open up a screen with a number of dialog choices. Depending on the type of familiar you might be able to use it to scout, cast spells, pickpocket, detect traps, etc. Most importantly you should immediately give your familiar a name. Both Binky and Pooky are common favorites for familiars but anything will do. Of course, this doesn't really do anything and isn't part of the game, but its a lot of fun anyway.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! I am sorry but i don't think you understand. I mean I try to cast the spell but it won't work, I think it is because i am not a Protagonist but what the **** is a Protagonist!

Dude... you posted a new thread as a reply to this one on accident(i think). Anyway. To be able to have a familiar you must be the protagonist, the PC, the guy you created at the beginning of the game, or whever you call him/her. You protagonist must either be a mage or use the old potion/scroll switcheroo(go into your inventory right click on a potion click drink potion then swap the potion with a scroll of choice. in this case you would use the Find Familiar scroll). Hope that cleared some stuff up, and got you a new pet in the process.

Protagonist means the principal/chief/leading character, ie the first one you create when in multiplayer.

ok, you can use sk to change item, pick a empty slot, and add a upgraded tob familiar, then edit the .cre file, and make it into a frigging dragon if you want to...i've heard that people have successfully done that, its a little complex and one of the few things i have not done with sk.....might crash the game..wot???

mostly, though, it involves finding the right cre file, and changing the avatar and abilites...

almost certainly will crash the game if you release in a area too small for a dragon avatar...though the idea is quite funny...

youre out in windspear hills, and you encounter the where wolves, and you release familiar, and out pops. this 90 ft red dragon...now according to some experiments people did, the avatar determines eligability of certain abilities and spells...like needing gnome, aka planar sphere psionics....so the red dragon breath might actually work....

:D :p

My dear young man, I understand perfectly. It is you who doesn't understand and that is exactly the problem. The main character is the protagonist. The definition of protagonist can be found in the dictionary - perhaps you should get one and use it before dumping on people trying to help you. It might help you from embarassing yourself like this in the future. I hope patience and courtesy eventually come to you in time. You are apparently about the age of my daughter - a bit premature yet to be uttering profanities in forum posts - it doesn't impress anyone and only makes people think less of you.

I am sorry but I am from Denmark and i don't know ALL English words.

Again sorry :o

Thanks, its okay. And yes, I did catch the fact that you were from Denmark. You write in English very well in fact. My whole point was that your original question was so vague that you had everyone guessing as to what the real problem was. Just look at some of the replies you got - User thought you wanted to create a custom 30 ton dragon familiar, Skuld thought you might be trying to give a non-mage protagonist a familiar, I haven't even figured out what Craig's reply means yet, etc. It really helps if you narrow down your problem to some specific questions and then give some background info on your party as well. Anyway, I hope your problem has been resolved.

Thank's I will try to write more precisely.

And yes it helped.

Again thank's :)
