Skin Murders & Beholder Cave in Underdark

Post by PX »

I took the following path: free Hendak and slaves, pay Galean bribe, shadow thief leader, ship, island, asylum, underwater, underdark and forest. Eventually in the hills a bastard asked me for silver dragon blood and the only one I found helped the group back to surface, shifted into a mage and left his post behind. How could I solve skin murders then?
Second, in the beholder cave south underdark tunnels, I got exhausted fighting so many beholders (up to 8 at the same time) at the south east end. Was there anything there that could not be missed? (I got the equalizer blade + "eye" at the entrance)
Thanks

1. you cannot get silver dragon blood without killing adalon and it looks like you took the good part. Too bad for the guy asking for it.

2. I believe the hilt of the equaliser is also in there.

Some items are hidden in the walls of the beholder lair.

The best thing to kill them is to send someone up front with the shield of balduraan bought in the Adventurer Mart with the cd bonus (-1 to str but reflect back to the ennemy all beholder attacks).

The murder thing can be solved by going to the bridge district. I won't spoil you too much here, so ask again if that doesn't help you.

You don't need the dragon blood to solve the skinner quest, just to get the armor. The quest actually ends elsewhere.

Just watch out for the Elder Orbs (I believe this is their name) they cast Imprisonment and the Shield doesn't help against that.

Thanks Genesis. I got the hilt somewhere else and the main char is using it already.
For the first part, it's bad you can't solve a quest but it's a good one to leave behind.

I do not have the the bonus merchants. Is there any other way to get shield of Baldarun? Or Robe of Vecna(?) for that matter?

Thanks Pat & Weasel. That's a very unpleasant place to be indeed. And those creatures are kind of useless. Killing that that unseeing eye beholder was the max.

Yes, they go to the override folder, just make sure you unzip them before you put them in there.
