bug in underdark

Post by Koveras »

I'm experiencing a bug in the Underdark where my anti-paladin, Valen, and occasionally Korgan will stop a little every second when walking. It looks as if they are in attack position. I think it might be because of the drow illusion, but why? Is this a comon bug? Also, if you move them somewhere, they will simply stop half way there, and I have to re-move them, which is frustrating.

Another thing is my game seems to have slowed down a little in the Underdark for some reason. If you look at the clock thing on the lower left corner, it looks as if its stuttering or something.

I hope this can be fixed. :(

I've had the same problem while playing with the Valen-mod. Only Valen was affected though. I struggled through and the problem stopped after the party lost its drow appearence. As you suspected, that was the problem.

Baldurdash say that their patch solves most of the problem, but, as they admit, not completely:

Have you tried it?

I remember the problem was also discussed at the Valen-forums, but I can't find that web-page. Maybe someone else knows?

Don't bother. I found out the old forum is gone and replaced by a new one. All the old threads are gone as well. So nothing there.

Thanks for your reply, but im still a little confused. On the Baldurdash page, it says "Mostly fixed by patch." What patch is he referring to?

Ah. He's appartently referring to the Bioware official patch, not to the Baldurdash patches. I suppose you have that one already installed? I checked the Baldurdash-patches but they don't adress the problem. Sorry. I'll have a look round at TeamBG and Sorcerers' place and see if they have something.

It's common with the drow animation. It might help if you take of any regenerating items you wear. I have nver had the Valen mod so i wouldn't know if it was this that caused it.

Koveras,
As the problem could be related to the Valen-mod (I only experienced it using that mod), you might consider posting your problem on the Valen-forums:
http://forums.fwstudios.net/index.php?act=SF&f=47

I read somewhere else that a guy had his game slowed down in the Underdark because of his McCafee virus scan.
