Little advice for solo Charcter. And Spoiler I think?
Well I am playing a solo Barbarian and I would like to take out that dragon. So I would like some feed back on any other solo people out there that fought him and won. What about the silver sword do you think that would take him out and If I throw a greater whrilwind it should take him out right. But will I get the treasure. I guess I should go and try it. Thanks for any input.

Jeepers sorry about that the one on the 4th level of WC.Originally posted by The fallen one
Well just tried to do the silver sword thing and nope did not work. I would get the little death ghost come from his body but he would not die. But I did get him to injured this time so he will fall very soon.
On a side note he is dead now.
Who, the barbarian?Originally posted by The fallen one

BTW, Bruce Lee posted this as an unkillable barabarian:
For absloute maximum tanking ability:
Human barbarian with ability scores greater or equal to valygars.
Get his armour. Wear belt of inertial barrier and wield defender of easthaven in off hand and improved Foebane in main hand.
Helmet of defense as head gear.
Now you are 40%resistant to physical damage and 75 percent to magic damage and after bonuses in hell some 70 to elemental damage, most of them atleast.
And every time you hit an opponent with you main hand you heal 4 hps.
Seriously with this setup you never die.
On a side note, the improved Valygar armour from Wes' item upgrade mod (Valygar armour combined with shadow dragon armour and a protection from magic scroll) would give 100% resistance to magic damage when worn with the belt of the inertial barrier.
AFAIK, the Improved Corthala Family Armor is only usable by Valygar - both Wes and the Baldurdash patch fixed this exploit.Originally posted by kopywrite

I cannot be caged.
I cannot be controlled.
(I probably cannot be contained either)
Understand this as you die,
ever pathetic, ever fools.

Thanks for the nice plug Coot.Originally posted by Coot
Not bad. How'd you do that? And isn't soloing a barbarian real difficult?
Keep in mind that he is a level 40 Barbarian. So he has alot of special ablities. And a ton of HP
-Set up at time of battle
-Rings: Fire resistance and Ring of Gaxx
-Helm of the rock
-Cloak of the sewers
-Kailigus Amulet of magic resistance
-Girdle of piercing. I should have checked my bag of holding for something better maybe?
-Gauntlets of weapon skill
-Boots of speed
- Armour shadow scale
Potion used Fire resistance and Cloud giant strength
Sword used war blade just seems right to use as a role playing aspect.
So Fire Resistance was set to 115% so not much fire damage.
A few whirl winds and some potions of healing he made it through.
The treasure was nothing great if you ask me.

We might be able to help you if we get the name of the dragon.

soloing isn't as hard as it seems if you have the right guy, I've done it as an undead hunter and a monk (with my monk I had to cheat in the 3rd last battle since the enemy's stone skin is inivisible on them and they cast it so fast that it's hard to stop, I had to use the heal cheat on the enemy to get rid of the stone skin then use whirlwind). Not bad. How'd you do that? And isn't soloing a barbarian real difficult?
soloing is fun you should try it. I get bugs when soloing though like in the underdark there were two Pharere's in her house for the egg switching quest. and they both acted like the real one (but looked different since one was from the night before).
have you seen odd bugs like this when soloing?
a more deadly bug was freeing Phaere since for me it didn't happen in the underdark area, if happened in the drow city itself, I had to cheat my way over there and heal Phaere once with the heal cheat from how that the battle started already.
I didn't see any bugs in TOB though.
Remember, being Evil in Baldur's Gate 2 is VERY fun...
