*item finding spoiler*
Buying? I cant think of anyone off the top of my head.

Where to plunder it? Well....If you go to the Dren Plantation, Orvas Dren has some stuff, you will either have to kill him or steal the stuff. If you are part of House Telvanni, the insane councilor at Tel Branora will have a quest for you later on where she wants you to retrieve a bow, and once you get the bow for her, she gives you daedric cuirass and greaves with feather. But this is a later quest in house telvanni. I dont remember where I found the daedric gauntlets.

Well I dont have all the info, this is a start, I think

If youre in Redoran you cant get the items. She isnt just carrying them, so if you want to get the items, you cant just kill her and loot the body. Basically she tells you to go get a special bow. You get the bow for her. She takes the bow and gives you daedric armor. Though, because she is insane, the dialogue demonstates more than just this. :D

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

No, Divayth Fyr is another character. He's also essential to the plot, unfortunately, unless you go vamp.

No one is essential to the plot.... except Yagram the last dwarf. There's a way to finish the game for any character, no matter who you kill, so long as you leave Yagram alive. Anyone who doesn't know it and wants to, just search on my user name and "backpath" and you'll find a number of earlier posts.

No, I believe Sojourner is right. I remember killing him and having that dreaded message appear.

But if you want to take backpaths to the plot, you can kill him. I would recommend going through the plot completely without using any shortcuts for atleast your first time through the game. The plot is fun and interesting, you should experience it at least once. :)

It sure does -- but that doesn't stop you from actually advancing the plot or finishing the game. I'll agree with you that it's not the best route to take for the first time through the game, though :)

3rd or 4th time through the game, thats when you can go ballistic for the fun of it. Or you can just wait for the plot to finish, and then kill Mr Fyr. :D

Actually, the greaves aern't the only daedric equipment you can get from dren's plantation. Highlight for spoiler:
Use chameleon so you can take them out one at a time. Kill dren. When you take something from his body, a thief will appear in the little section next to the stairs. Kill him for two glass daggers. Eventually another guard will come running, take him out. Now search the guard:daedric katana, and daedric shield, along with soem orcish stuff. Search dren, between him and the guard you will find a full suit or orcish armor. Now grab the daedric greaves and ebony armor from the shelf and your all set.

1 ez way to get Daedric items: hang around Daedric ruins, you don't even have to go inside, Daedric lords, and Golden Saints walk around there, often they leave Daedric items after them, for example that's how I got Daedric Claymore, Daedric Dai-Katana, and Daedric Katana. Also, I got Daedric greaves, but I'm not sure if I went inside to find them.

Hes atop his tower inside Tel Fyr. Tel Fyr should be located on your fold away map.
