I more mission: Vampires!

Post by Nerevar »

Thanks for everyones help so far. All of your info helped me out a lot. All I need now is a location of some vampires so that I can have a little fun. If someone would reply and let me know where a sure fire location is (actual name of the location or something.....i'm horrible with directions), then I'd really appreaciate it. Plus, what is the best long blade in the game? Where is it at? I have the chysmere or something like that right now. It's fairly strong, but I know there's better. That would help also. Thanks again ladies and gents. Peace.

**MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD**

Three major vampire locations:
  1. Berne Clan - Galom Daeus, a dwemer ruin located SW of Uvirith's Grave. To get there, head due south from Uvirith's Grave until you hit a lava flow, then follow the lava west until you reach a bridge. Do not cross the bridge but keep going west - you'll hit a lava lake - Galom Daeus is on the other side. If you do the Temple quests, you'll be directed here. Uvirith's Grave is marked on the paper map you should have gotten with the game.
  2. Quarra Clan - Druscashti, another dwemer ruin located in the Ashlands region, not far from the northern coast. You should find it just southwest of the daedric shrine west of the Ushrilaku Camp (also marked on the paper map). Note: there are also one or more tombs in this area with some vampires.
  3. Aundae Clan - Ashmelech, a tomb located in the Sheogorad region on an island almost due south of the island with the Sanctus Shrine. (Look at the paper map.) The entrance itself is southeast of the Shrine.
Hope this helps!
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

There's a tomb near Balmora often guarded by vampires if you're at the begining (west of the town, Andrethi one, IIRC). You have to cross the mountains, though. There are some more tombs infected with them, i do not remember exact locations. The benefit is if you're keeping disposing the corpses they're keeping to respawn any time you return.
Then three clan nests come in mind. You might get the task to clean the one if you're making the career in the Temple, BTW. Do not know if there is respawning, rather not., at least for vampires' part.

Best Long Blade

Nerevar:

Best long blade i know of is Umbar (casts soul trap among other things). You get it off some fighter who "roams the hills, looking for a challenge" outside some town. I have forgotten where, but I know it is stilt strider accessible, so not far (game time) from Balmora.

After I got the sword, the game became incredibly easy so I don't recommend it. (Kill a golden saint w/ 3 hits).

That's why I restarted w/ hand-to-hand and unarmored only combat skills. I still use magic.

*spoiler*

If you want to find Umbra you leave Suran-going in a south east direction, hugging the mountain range. Always keeping the mountain range to your left. One pathway goes up a hill on the mountain range-go up it and there is where you find Umbra.
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.
