Imoen's belt

Post by Beardboy »

I remember Imoen wearing some belt before she was imprisoned by the Cowled Wizards, which couldn't be removed, and she never knew how she got it or what it did.

After rescueing her in Spellhold, I noticed that she no longer had the belt. I presumed Irenicus obviously took it away, but you would find it somewhere in Spellhold after defeating him the first time.

But I never found it anywhere ever since I got Imoen back. Was this supposed to happen, or is it just another thing I've missed?

The belt is so she will not die. Once you get her back it doesn't matter anymore if she dies.

The programers put it in so the story could continue .

Weasel, just out of curiosity, didn't I read in another thread that other characters critical to the storyline have this belt so they can't die as well?

I think she is basically immortal while in Chapter 1. I forgot to try it out when going thru the 2nd time. But supposedly she just won't die. So send her into battle by herself and see what happens.

The first time I played, I accidently got her "killed". When she takes a wound that would have "killed" her, I believe she screams something about "she just can't die down there" and then runs off (presumably to the exit). I thought I had messed up, so I reloaded a saved game.

Krom is correct- the belt not withstanding, if you put Imoen in a position that normally would kill her she says something about needing to get out of there and leaves.
Then darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time

Yes... instead of dying Imoen tuck-tail and run... but she runs for the exit so your storyline can´t get messed up..
