I was about to start to solve the Skinner Murders in the Bridge, and I was trying to talk to Rampah. This was what came out, when I tried to talk to him with my main character.
Gem- I'm afraid I just don't have enough.
With the second try:
Gem- This eystalk is from an Elder Orb who was none too willing to give it up.
Third try:
Gem- Waukeens Temple
...and finally...
Gem- He was... a traitor. Yeah, he had conspired with... the trolls. He did say Lord Arnise was still alive, but maybe he was lying. Yeah.
It comes as a read text the same way when you try to talk to someone, and he hasn't got anything to say to you. Weird, eh? With the fifth time I finally got to discuss with Rampah. Does anyone else have these kind of problems?
A strange bug with Rampah...
Yes. One of the lines you quote (about the eyestalk of the Elder Orb), I always got as an answer from the Silver Dragon, whatever I said. As my lines were correct, it didn't interfere with the game though.Originally posted by khimaira

I've never seen any speech errors but I have seen other errors, like in the underdark
---Spoiler---
when soloing once there were 2 Phaere's after you slept with her and came back from meeting the Matron mother. one Phaere was from the night before you slept with her and other was there after you slept with her. (they look different) I spoke to one that shouldn't be there and she gave me the quest and then I spoke to the other one and that phaere told me to hurry up with switching the eggs.

Remember, being Evil in Baldur's Gate 2 is VERY fun...
I had issues like that with The Matron Mother in the Underdark back in my second run-through. She had the same dialogues as Renal Bloodscalp, Drizzt Do'Uden (which was dissapointing because it was likr a spoiler alsmost
) AND Sir Ryan Trawl. It was a mess, and really confusing...
Oh. My. God. Your sig immediatly caught my attention, khimaira. Good to know that there are other people who actually *like* Anomen.
This made my day...

Dialog problems like these are often a result of dialog.tlk becoming corrupted.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
