duron 700 with 256mb pc100 ram (windowsXP) and a geforce3 ti200. Shouldn't that be enough?
Lets put it this way, i have an Athlon 1200 with 256 DDR and a GeForce 4200 ti and my game still visibly jumps quite often, i think the best solution for you would be to play with a lower view distance. Either that or turn other settings down, like the AI distance and things like that. Also, if you haven't already, turn off real time shadows.
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

I have an Athlon 1800 with 512 DDR and Geforce 3. I have set the AI distance to 0, and have turned the real time shadow off. I hoped that i could have the view distance on full.

BUT I COULD'NT RUN THE GAME PERFECTLY! RRARGH WHY!

What driver set do you have for your GeForce?

Hmm, the game runs fine except for the occasional crash to the desktop. I use an Athlon XP2000, a GeForce 4200 Ti, 512 MB RAM with Windows XP.

29.42 i think is the newest, that should show a significant increase in frame rates.

With a graphic intensive game like morrowind it is difficult to have the best of both worlds, either you play in a lower resolution and have full viewing distance or you have a lower viewing distance and play with 1024x768. Although the 29.42 might sort out your problems

<edit>The newest is actually the 30.82 driver set, assuming you are using 98/ME click here otherwise just go to nvidia.com and naviagte from there. These are the official drivers so there shouldn't be any problems incurred, if there are, contact Nvidia.

There have been some issues concerning the last offical patch, i have not had the same problems but it might be related to those.

You can't d/l the wrong patch unless you are in Europe and have downloaded the US version or vice versa. Are you sure it locked up and just didn't stall for a bit?

You might want to try one of the earlier patches instead.

Hasn't happened again

I'm pretty sure it crashed. Left the machine for 15 min. and it was still on the exit screen when i came back.

It hasn't happened since. Now, the worst that i get is when loading saved games. It starts to load and then the game just quits.

Funny thing is, I never had any problems with my Demo copy. :D

I'm going to d/l the no-CD hack, i think the problems may stem from the "original CD check" that occurs when you start up.
