...but if memory serves, this pic of Sensei is a rarity. That's not "him" in the sense that you'd never again would have him pose that way. ;) I doubt that even when drunk and allowed to pose for a pictorial would you come up still with the same result. :D

Nah, I wasn't making any Anomen joke here. If you really look real hard and look at the pic objectively, Sensei does look like Anomen.

Well I certainly have a perspective on teaching, as my dad did it for 38 years. Bring your emotions out, and make sure the class means something to YOU. Then once that happens it can mean something to the kids, because your emotions would be positive and would make class exciting. Be sure to deal with students individually and put things into perspective. If they are confused, confront them. Dont look like a scarry person, elsewise the students would never come when in need and others will resent you. Just a small portion of my Aspects of Teaching: 101

Thanks! :) While I might have a passion and insight on teaching, people tend not to listen to me at all. Also I tend to respect others but not get the same in return. A couple steps in teaching you need, is for others to listen and respect the fact that this is YOUR class. And, unfortunetly, I fall short in those catagories. :(

@Scarlett Ma'am: Well, kenders are cute little folks from the world of Krynn (Dragonlance setting), which are considered to be a counterpart of Tolkien's hobbits. Image

Well that is very nice for you to say. :) But self confidence is also something I lack....And I cant imagine spending all that time correcting papers, and dealing with kids. I mean I cant handle 2 ten year olds, they can run amok, and I wouldnt be able to do a thing. I imagine I could deal with any grade 7 and up. Control factor and respect factor is higher in those grades, making it easier. But if I were to decide for that field, now would be the time to think about it, now that Im starting college.

Thanks Mah. I did watch him correct many papers and also had him for 1/3 of a school year, so I understood how my dad taught. Everybody but 1 student I talked to absolutely loved my dad for a teacher. Many people didnt even know he was my dad, when they complimented him in front of my face. I think emotion is the biggest factors in teaching. You cannot be a cold text book. That isnt teaching, thats telling. Teaching is actually reaching out to the students and emotion fuels that very action.

EDIT-Later Mah. Have a good one.
