More Exp

Post by gnomethingy »

On another msg board ive seen this topic raised...

So basicly is this true?
When you pick up an npc for the first time there exp matches your own, up to a certain point, Lvl 16 or so (Different for class obviosly)

So considering that if you say.. Kill a dragon and get 60k exp, but have 6 party members, this works out to what? 10k each? or 60k for the person who killed it? Either way, it sucks.

But if your character solos a portion of chapter two, simply not taking the 30k each party member quest rewards and only takes the one hit exp awards and kills the big baddies (Dragons, liches etc) until he reaches the point to which the npc, stop advancing

When you pick up the npcs, these one hit awards will be reflected in there exp score.. In total,

So in effect, killing a dragon is like awarding your future party 60k exp, each...

If this is true, it works out of a chunk of extra exp

But has anyone tried this ?? Does it work? Ive heard it works.. Im tying it *Now*

Not quite. NPC's are available at different levels, depending on the level of the PC. For example, Keldorn can be levels 8,9,10,12 or 14 when you meet him.

Check out the creature browser in SK to see what everyone else starts at.
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't.
I think I think, therefore I might be.

If it works? Yes.
Is it worth? Perhaps.

In my current party I played solo until level ~12 (can't really remember) only then collecting Anomen, Keldorn, Jan, Tashia and Kelsey.
Why it was not worth? Thanks to that and to the constant flow of experience by the improved city encounter mod, I hit chapter 3 already at 3.000.000 xp, with my first High Level Abilities, and now I'm completing Suldanessalar reaching 4.750.000 xp.
You get too powerful to the overall level of opposition, so you will get very little fun out of it.

Taking my char to lvl 3 or four solo then picking up some pc's to join the fun

I tried it last night and Id say it has one decent virutue and that... speed, its so fast, soloing is the quickest way to get through quest, I love it
